Switching out grille

Long story short, I'm buying another grille for my jeep. Question is, is the grill held on by just screws and hen you screw the new one into the fascia holes with the previous screws or is it an extra step like clips or whatever?

Re: Switching out grille

If you don't want to remove the bumper cover, and don't care about the old grill, you can use a pair of tin snips to cut the slats on the old gill inserts. This will then allow you get your hand behind each grill insert to unclip the old inserts and remove them.

Then, the new grill inserts simply clip in.

No I'm talking about the entire grill piece itself needs to be replaced which is 400 something. The video above is a good description

Re: Switching out grille

I've got mine apart now and there is one metal rivet on each end that you'll need to cut off. The black part that has the top clips and connects around the hood latch is a real PITA to get off, but if you're getting a new grille you can probably just cut the tabs. Mine is a 2015.

Re: Switching out grille

Anyway we could use something else on the end than a rivet? I can't find that particular rivet molar used. Unless we can use whatever type of metal rivet?
