Here are some more daytime and nighttime shots with running lights and brake lights.

And I just drove down the street approximately 500ft and had my girl watch to see if they were still visible. No problem even from that far away.

(Yep. 500 ft. Super dangerous. I take back what I said, as mine are actually still legal based on this, in my state.)

Yeah bro them tails look legit. Id do mine but they would look out of place on it. Have had my factory tails "lightly" tinted to give a deep cherry color. Now im running full led tails and not planning on tinting them.

Why would anyone actually pay money to tint their rear lights...just so they can make their vehicle more difficult to see at night (safety issue)...and depending on the State, illegal as well?

Lol seriously? You see them better at night, the hard time to see bad tinted tails is during the day. And as long as you can see them past a certain distance your fine. My tail lights are tinted (professionally) and so much light come through.

And a huge congrats to you for following the law to the T. There are many laws that I don't agree with in this country and tinting tail lights is one of those things where I don't feel bad at the end of the day for making the car look the way I want when it does minimal tinting of the light output. It's completely safe gramps, youll still see the lights, I promise.

I've also read quite a few threads on here about how much the mudflaps really do for you functionally, which is next to nothing. We could go on and on, I was simply showing you how rude and dumb you sound, jumping onto a thread where no one asked your opinion on tinted tail lights or how I mod my car...but you had to chime in with your unnecessary diss.

You're just a hater and I feel bad for you and your Jeep's mudflaps.
I live in New Jersey and it is illegal to have tinted windows but no one ever gets pulled over for it. Literally 10% of the cars in my town have them. I also disagree with a couple other Jersey laws such as tinted tail lights which can not hurt a soul and the front license plate law. Jersey is 1 of the 2 states that have this dumb ass law. I'm with pinetar on this one, if you don't like his mod or opinion just keep it to your self, you're just looking for trouble saying stupid shit like you are.

Re: Tail Light Tinting - My Experience

Tails look awesome OP, and I'm with you on this one. We all mod our cars because it makes us happy. I for one have a few illegal mods on my car that I can care less about what cops/other people think about. The reward outweighs the risk. I like to think of tinted tails as "frowned upon", I've had mine tinted for a year and I've never gotten hassled one.

My point is, we're all grown ups, we can spend our money however the hell we please.

So because YOU don't agree with a certain law, it's OK to break it? What are you...like 18 years old or something? You'll learn the hard way I guess.

I'm crying on the inside...really. You're the one who looks like the idiot trying to justify how your uber tinted tails do more than mud flaps. I can see form is more important to you than function.

Feel bad all you want Sparky about my mud flaps because I don't feel for you at all about your dumb a$$ race boy tinted tails that caused you all that time and effort. I originally just stated my opinion at first...like hundreds do here on this web site...you then escalated this into a shit throwing contest.

Enjoy wasting your money on getto mods...and nicked-up lower panels.
