Re: Tail Light Tinting - My Experience

I have a couple good lawyers in the family, so if they want it to come down to a question of legality, I'm prepared. Nothing about my lights are dangerous and if someone tried to use that as excuse for hitting me, then so be it.

And I'm sure the same could be said for someone with front windows past legal state limits, that got into an accident where that could possibly be used as an excuse or justification against them. That seems like a much more dangerous and realistic situation, yet I don't see anyone worrying about it when they go to match the back windows 20% to the front...

Re: Tail Light Tinting - My Experience

  • The tail light must be reflective.
  • Be visible 500-1000 feet at night (depends on state)
  • Must be visible up to 300 feet during day time.
If you pass all three you're legal.

/end of discussion.
