I don't think I want to convert to LED, other than going with LED license plate lights (which have nothing to do with this rear fog mod, correct?).
Harness + left, right fog housing, bulbs.

Re: Taillight solutions-just ordered mine.

Hi everyone,

Sorry... resurrecting a bit of an old thread here. I saw another Grand Cherokee on the road with these lights the other day and now I want to get them for mine. I definitely want the the LED rear fogs w/ the LED taillight upgrade. I'm not sure if I should just do the complete LED upgrade that includes the reverse lights. Does anyone have any comparison pictures of the LED reverse lights vs. non-LED reverse lights or any comments on whether the complete LED upgrade is worth it?

I didn't use tail light solutions, I used a harness from Jeep_addicted and got all the bulbs from V-Leds. The LED reverse lights are definitely worth it IMHO.

Nick, I swapped out all 4 of the reverse bulbs for LED. I got them from Xenon Depot. All I can say is WOW, what a difference! I don't have before & after photos, but it is an incredible & worthwhile improvement! It lights up the road behind you like daylight & is well worth the money!

Thanks FreeJersey and Hemi2. Sounds like LED reverse lights is the way to go... And I told myself I wasn't going to mod this vehicle at all!

The harness is nothing more than a re-purposed T-adapter trailer harness with the needed bulb socket, diodes and optional resistors if you are running full LEDs.

I have a case of the trailer harnesses laying around I am just trying to liquidate them. So I can make some harnesses out of them.

What I would need to know from interested parties:

What year WK2: 2011- 2013 Default Full function plug and play (Brake/Turn only by request)

2014 Plug and Play Brake/Turn function (requires tapping a wire to obtain tail light function)

What functions you want: Full function: Brake/Turn, Tail
Brake/Turn Only

What bulbs are you planning on using:

Halogen = harness with no resistor

Halogen and LED = harness with no resistor

FULL LED = harness with resisitor

Here are the dealer part #'s for rear fog light housings that you can purchase on your own.

Right sided housing 57010716AC

Left side housing 57010717AC
Jeep_addicted can you please PM me? I would like to buy a pair of these harnesses from you for my 2015 SRT Jeep. I want the rear fog lights to have LED along with the tail lights so I will need the one with the resistor. Thanks!

Outside rings of taillights are LED. The bulb that indicates braking/turning are halogen.

I believe the brake/turn and reverse bulbs are incandescent.

Bonus! I just bought a used 2012 and the previous owner did this mod and didnt tell me. Noticed last night when I let the wife drive it in front of me so I could hear the new exhaust

Re: Taillight solutions-just ordered mine.

I completed the tailightsolutions rear taillight upgrade and it is awesome. Well worth the money. high quality product and easy install not to mention a great safety enhancement just being more visible. I said I would not modify this vehicle but now I am going to upgrade the remainder of rear bulbs to LED. What will be next...
