Tetrax FIXWAY Phone Mount for my Samsung Galaxy Note 2

I've been trying to decide on how to mount my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 in my new Overland. I finally decided to mount my phone the same way that I did in my 2011 Ford F-150. I was really pleased with the mount in my truck. It keeps my phone visible, yet out of the way without blocking an air vent.

It has an adhesive square that you stick to your dashboard and a round piece that you adhere to your phone or it's case. The other parts hold to each other with strong magnets. The mount was very strong in my truck and never fell off once, even when off-roading. I considered that impressive considering the large size of the Note 2.

Here is a link:

Amazon.com: Tetrax 72028 FIXWAY Smartphone/iPhone/GPS Magnetic Holder, Dashboard Mount: Automotive

And some pics:

This is a picture of only the case as I'm using the phone to take the pic.

That looks pretty cool. I think I would replace the adhesive strip with one of those command strips, so I could pull it off if I wanted to. I'll see if there is a version for iPhone. Thanks for posting.

That's pretty cool.
So cool, I've just ordered one for myself. Just what I've been looking for.

Cheers.

I've seen that one before. That super magnet can mess up the compass in some phones.

I had a similar concern before using it. There is a video and FAQ on the Tetrax website that addresses this issue. Also, I read an independent review that tested this with no adverse effects. Finally, there are a few other forums that have discussed this at length with no real world problems with this particular system.

The button that you attach to your phone is not magnetized, it is only metal. My own use of this holder for the last year has had no ill effects on my own phone. Of course, your mileage may vary.
