Re: Tinted the Windshield!

i dont know where you are from.. but in mass. we have to pass a vehicle inspection once a year and they stick a sticker on the inside of the windshield... so i would think anyone who has to do this would have the tint ruined???

$90 for the front 2 windows and $125 for the windshield.

Re: Tinted the Windshield!

okay, got the windshield and sunroof tinted with Suntek CXP 80 and the front two windows done with Suntek CXP 18. i love it! thanks so much bmrisko! i wasn't sure about the Suntek or about doing the windshield but it is amazing. i'm so happy with it. could just be me but i immediately felt a difference in heat coming through the front windshield. also just looked better, even at 80%. kind of like when i put an anti-glare screen protector on the ipad. just looked better to me.

bmrisko - i do see the color shift that you were mentioning with polarized sunglasses on but it is so not a big deal. i noticed it in the clouds - some of them had a purplish hue. it didn't bother me at all.

the Suntek 18 matches perfectly - it looks so good. from inside looking out it seems like the fronts might be a touch darker than the back but it is really hard to tell. from the outside looking in you can't tell a difference. everything looks the same color too.

i'm very happy. let me know if anyone needs a great tinter in the kansas city area. i really liked my guy a lot. he was very patient with all my questions.

btw - my guy went over the black dots on the windshield. he said he wanted to try that first to see if it would work and if it didn't he would cut around them. i'm sure it would have looked fine the other way but it just looks so good over the whole thing.

Re: Tinted the Windshield!

I know I asked before, but any updates on suction with the tint? I really want to do this but I have 3 items suctioned to the windshield.

Re: Tinted the Windshield!

I had 35% regular charcoal installed on the wife's '11. Sure helps when driving into the sun and is just slightly noticeable. I have noticed during the day if drive into a shadow of trees the auto head light will come on.

I had 50% installed on my dodge. I've got sensitive eyes and have to wear sunglasses or I'll get headaches. 50% is pretty noticeable and is dark at night but I would recommend front tint.
