To De-badge or not 2014 Summit

I am on the fence about doing this. Part of me wants to remove all badges and plasti-dip much of the chrome pieces. The other part of me says just leave it alone. Yet another part of me says go for something in the middle.

I have been searching the internet like a madman for examples.

My Jeep is Deep Granite in color. Help me decide.

I also have a 2014 Summit but in Cashmere and was in the same boat as you trying to decide whether it was worth the effort and costs

In the end I removed all the badges (except the one molded into the rear tailgate) and vinyl wrapped all the chrome (Black around the windows and a silver on the lower trims), colour coded door handles and had the lower skirts painted.
Personally, I love the way it now looks and am really happy.

I think with the darker Granite it would look even better.

End of the day, it is your ride and your personal choice

Purely a subjective decision...if you like the de-badged look, go for it!

I agree with you. I am a "purist" and tend to leave the exterior appearance of my rides alone while I might modify the other things. I don't like doing things that attract attention to my vehicle. Living between high crime areas modifying the exterior appearance of your vehicle and attracting attention is just asking for a problem.

Not. You bought a $55K suv. Why be ashamed? The only ones I would consider removing, would be the side door lettering. These are a pain to clean, and will catch tar, etc.

Re: To De-badge or not 2014 Summit

I thought about the chrome door pillars and got talked out of it. I saw a black wk2 at the dealers yesterday and really liked it. I'm ordering them. Don't take away from the look...add to it...
