Re: Trufiber Carbon Fiber Grill - Pics

Well after A few stern emails here's their response
What a holes ..gloves are coming off here..I can already see how this is going to go down...they're going to try claiming I damaged it when shipping it back

Anthony,

You have accepted the item without thorough inspection, therefore we are unable to file a damage claim with the carrier. We made you an offer but you refuse so there isn't much we can do.

You can ship the item back if you wish just be sure to write the RMA number on the outside of the box - RMA-SR1706-AJ. Make sure it is shipped prepaid otherwise the warehouse department will refuse the shipment and will reroute the shipment back to you. Email us the tracking number once the item is enroute so the warehouse department can track the delivery. They will inspect for any other damage besides the on that is already on there. They will refuse the shipment if there are any other damages to the grille.

Trufiber

Thank you,

Sales Team

File with the BBB, your states consumer affairs and even the AG office. I've gone to small claims courts many times and won. Filing is about $20 in New York State but it will cost them more to defend than actually backing their product like a real company would. I wish I lived close to you as I love going to court even being retired. Companies like this need to be run out of town on a rail. Best with court papers and a constable. You can have them seize their funds. Of course they take a minimal 30% but it's worth it to get back at a poor service company.

That is terrible how they have chosen to respond, not a way to build a business. Did you buy the grill with a credit card? You might find they will let you file a dispute for the purchase & that might push them to replace it for you. Also, sometimes the credit card companies have purchase protection for things like this.

Anthony
How was this shipped to you UPS or freight company? The reason I ask I have never been able to open a package from UPS to inspect it. It has always been take it or leave it. They will note damage to the packaging, that's about it.

These guys are really something else. They may have been able to sell a few of these grills if they took care of you.

This was shipped via truck freight and I actually did open the box with the driver there
I took the part out of the box but it was wrapped up and taped up and looked to be in one piece so the driver took off and I assumed it was fine..after about 10 minutes of carefully cutting the wrapping off I got to the bare part and it was damaged as you see in the pics..the biggest problem is that they threw this wrapped part into a huge box without any bubble wrap or filler so the part was flipping around inside the box..I think it flexed one side and cracked in shipping

I did pay with my b of a credit card and I've contacted them for a chargeback..I notified Trufiber and told them I did this and that this was their last chance to make it right and they sent the email above ..I emailed them back stating my disappointment that they'd rather lose a customer and sale and also discourage others from buying from them ..but they apparently don't care

It's fine but it's really sad to see businesses operate this way

Re: Trufiber Carbon Fiber Grill - Pics

$200 AND you keep the damaged one?!?... sounds like you can make some money off of this situation.
But i do agree this is bad business practices.

Re: Trufiber Carbon Fiber Grill - Pics

Your CC company should take care of this. As a domestic purchase this should be no trouble. It's best to buy with CCs over debit for the added protection.

I agree it's an opportunity but bad practice

I'm just disappointed that they'd choose to make a decision like this and have bad customer service over doing the right thing

I don't need to make money off the situation as I just wanted what I paid for ..they should have agreed to take this one back and get me a new one ..without me having to dish out 200$

I'm just pissed off principle
