Trufiber Carbon Mirror Covers and Rear Step

I recently discovered these Trufiber Jeep Parts while cruising through the SRT forum...I wanted to share some info on them in case anyone else is wondering what they ACTUALLY look like...

the Website doesn't really tell you what you get when you buy them

I bought the Mirror Covers first...and after seeing the quality I decided to buy the rear step....next is the carbon grille

Here's some pics so you guys can see what you get

The quality is GREAT! and the rear step replaces BOTH pieces with one easy to install carbon piece...good way to get rid of that rear chrome step piece and just install this one ...no need to buy anything else if you want to black out the step

Awesome stuff, thanks for posting. I really like the roof spoiler but not sure I'm ready to justify $600.

For those interested, here is all the stuff on their site: FREE Built-in Ram Air Kit! Fully Functional Ram Air & Heat Extractor Hoods: Mustang, Charger, Corvette, Magnum, Challenger, Firebird, Camaro, F-150, SRT-4, 300c, Cherokee, & Wrangler

I'm getting the front grille next

The quality is great!

I'd have no hesitation spending the $600 for the spoiler myself..but I'm looking at the black ops spoiler and rear brow

Better looking design in my opinion

It says Cherokee

Also is the mirror cap seems it is a cap over with double sided tape and not a true replacement of the OEM cap, correct? I also see that you are an avid RC flyer

Ha
Yeah
I fly large turbine jets ,helicopters and gas planes

These are carbon covers that go on over the existing mirrors with tape
Not ideal but they fit well

I'll be putting them on tomorrow so I'll show you pics of what they look like installed

I'm getting ready to put on the Srt8 body package on my gc so I won't be mounting the grille or rear step until that all gets installed

Are those missles? Where the heck do fly those out of An airfield ?? Haha

Those carbon parts look great I've used similar mirror covers before and never had issues.

Re: Trufiber Carbon Mirror Covers and Rear Step

ha...yeah I fly these Jets off of full scale runways...thee 2 F16's I have are 110" long and need some serious space to be flown...

I installed the Carbon Mirror covers this weekend.,..and I'm not really that happy with them overall....they fit fine but not as perfect as I thought...there's still some chrome peeking out in spots...If I could do it all over again I'd just buy the painted OEM replacements...these look good...but not perfect..

Would you mind posting a couple pictures of the chrome 'leak'? The fit looks great from what you posted and I like the look.

Sure thing ...I will snap some pics tonight....I am thinking about just using a little black paint to touch up the chrome areas ...

Re: Trufiber Carbon Mirror Covers and Rear Step

Can you pop off the chrome cap and tape the CF cover down in place of it? Or just paint the edges of the chrome with black nail polish or something so you don't notice it.

Lets see some close up pics from both sides. I wanna see how high they ride or how thick they are.
