Talking Uneek Rock Sliders for 2016 WK2, getting ready to pull the trigger

I'm getting ready to order the Uneek4x4 Rock Sliders for my 2016 75th Anniversary Limited. I've been looking at the options and these just seem to be the best option. The RRO sliders are too short and Mopar looks ok but can't get a good feeling on strength and fit on the 2016.

It's looking like Uneek will be AUD $1400 (~USD $1067) including air freight to Virginia.

If anyone else is interested in a possible group buy let me know... These should fit perfectly on all but the Summit since its fender flares are just a bit wider.

The RRO sliders also reduce ground clearance as they sit below the factory rockers -- vs. the Mopar or Uneek ones which replace the plastic rocker cover.

I would be interested in a Group Buy. These would look good and work even better on my 75th Limited. I agree that the RRO sliders are sub par.

Are you planning on getting a bull bumper? Does ARB have anything that fits the 75th aniv front end? Any concerns about warranty concerns with a bull bumper and the quadra lift compressors, etc?

Uneek does have ARB bull bars that will fit the 75th front for AUD $2200 (minus the included AU taxes in the online price if sold out of country) but I'm waiting on those and I may pick something else instead. Bull bars are lower on my mod list priority. (Next after sliders is a Mopar/Corsa cat back Hemi exhaust)

Good question on warranty concerns. I was planning on discussing any warranty issues with the dealership later today or tomorrow (I have the lifetime option so I am concerned) but there really should be no worries. I'll bring it up.

Re: Uneek Rock Sliders for 2016 WK2, getting ready to pull the trigger

I checked on warranty issues and as long as the dealer installs there would be no issues. The parts themselves if not mopar are not covered but it would not affect the rest of the warranties. The sliders and bull bumpers/bars are not a problem. Uneek has a 1 year parts warranty. The dealer quoted $295 for the slider install.

For the cat back there were other limitations. The cat backs were ok to install but the mopar as a performance part is not covered by the lifetime warranty but corsa does provide its own lifetime warranty. They did add that adding BOTH the cat back AND a CAI would not be authorized and could void the power train warranty. Since I don't want a CAI that is not a problem for me.

Good to hear. I'd still be a little leary with the bull bar, have to check with another dealer lol. I guess I'm just not super trusting of dealers sometimes.

It's true they have to prove the part caused the failure and I see them blaming the added weight for the failure of a ql compressor.

I too have a lifetime max care on my wk but have eaten a number of deer so I would be looking for some kind of full bumper front end replacement for my next jeep.

Good luck with everything I think it will look very sharp!

There is a bit in the owners manual about not putting any winches/bumpers on the front as it will mess with the airbag sensors. That may be worth checking out too.

Quite true. The Uneek bull bars specs claim air bag compatibility. The nudge bars do not. The sliders also state side airbag compatibility as well so should be good.

Yes, I will post pics but it will be 4 weeks plus... Shipping from Oz and all. Not doing the bull bars for at least a year.

9 Jun - Notification of Shipment via airfreight by TNT with tracking number

10 Jun - TNT picked up from Uneek
11 Jun - Arrived in NYC and Cleared Customs
14 Jun - NYC to IAD
15 Jun - to TNT location

These are very sturdy and well made. Finish is good and matches Gloss trim. Since the jeep has a subdued theme I wanted no chrome/silver bolts or the shiny logo plate. Uneek was happy to customize it although that contributed to a couple of weeks delay before they shipped them. Over all very happy with them. Will post more picks later but pics on the web are accurate.
