Vinyl Wrap Ideas

Ive pretty well concluded based on a ton of reading and projects here on the forum that I will 3M 1080 Scotchprint vinyl wrap the various chrome bits and pieces on my '11 Mineral Grey JGC Laredo X.

As a pointer, you can order an amazing kit of samples directly from 3M here, this stuff is beautiful: http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3...nfo/Series1080

Looking for some advice from anyone who's already done this, hpw well it sticks and holds up,etc.

Ive found a couple of reputable installers here in the SF Bay Area.

Color wise I was thinking
http://multimedia.3m.com/mws/mediawe...sQPbsQPbPPPPPP--

Matte Black for the chrome on 1)window trim 2)roof rails
Matte Grey Aluminum (very close color match) or Matte Black on 3) body molding and 4) rear hatch lip

Im on the fence for the 5) front grill..black seems too much..was thinking of perhaps a complimentary brushed metal colors.

Any advice out there?

Thanks

Re: Vinyl Wrap Ideas

Sounds like a fun project. What about Matte Black for the front grill? With a matte black grill and removing the chrome accent strip along the side doors your jeep would look pretty similar to the SEMA "Off-road Edition"...Especially once you put matte black on the window trim.
