Vinyl Wrap Rear Chrome Brow

Has anyone wrapped the rear chrome brow? I have plasti-dipped mine and I love the look. I am wrapping my mirrors this weekend and I should have enough left over but would like some help if it can be done over the raised letters on the brow.

Re: Vinyl Wrap Rear Chrome Brow

I had mine painted. I know the chrome brow isn't that big. You could also give it a shot and if it doesn't turn out, just take it off. I'd be interested though to see how it turns out. Good luck!

Re: Vinyl Wrap Rear Chrome Brow

My plasti-dip looks great and is holding up well. I would hate to remove it, but it's a cheap fix. I will probably end up doing the vinyl since it's extra material anyway. Worst case is re-dipping.

I tried doing it myself, but it didn't work out since the vinyl wrap didn't look good around the "jeep" letters. I ended up plasti-dipping the rear-brow and grill. I vinyl wrapped the chrome window trim. Now I'm trying to figure-out about my chrome mirror caps and chrome handle bars.

Re: Vinyl Wrap Rear Chrome Brow

Why not buy the replacement Altitude brow? It's relatively cheap.

Ive tried paint and eventually it started to chip off , then I tried the rustoleum bed liner spray and that worked the best ! Covers nice and drys like a hard shell over everything , I lightly sanded ,used a filler primer and then painted , its been about a year now and still looks great ,, Very easy and fun project

Re: Vinyl Wrap Rear Chrome Brow

Any idea of the difference between the bedliner and plastidip? My plastidip is holding up well.

IMO The Bed Liner paint is permeant and much more durable the plastidip dip is more of a temporary method and defiantly no were near as durable , The great thing about Plastidip is when you get tired of it or need to redo it ,you can peel it right off
