VLEDS new fog bulb - 5202 6K

Have been waiting for these to show up. Got them today. Install was a fail. They will not seat in the housing no matter what i do. The plastic base seems too large in diameter, you can see marks on the edges where it is clearly rubbing. The bulb, as all VLEDS do, looks amazing, but these are not going to work in the WK2 unless some one knows a trick. As these just came out I am not holding my breath and filing is not an option on this one. Too much surface area. Any one tried these yet?

Re: VLEDS new fog bulb - 5202 6K

UPDATE - the bulbs are in and throw great light. The base where the actual buld inserts into the plug needs to be shaved back about 1/4". The problem is that the light base is too long and it will not seat into the lens housing. Once shaved, it popped into place securely. Spoke to Jake at VLEDS, and he informs me that the next production run they will make changes in order to make this a true plug and play for WK2's.

Required more attention than the DRL's, but all said and done took a total of 10 minutes to retrofit this bulb. Was hesitant to do so as I didn't want to be stuck with a $70 pair of xmas tree decorations, but Jake told me to go ahead and try, and if it still did not fit they would exchange or refund.

There you have it.
