WeatherTech Colors for JGC Overland

Have a JGC Overland on order and live in WI so don't want to mess up the carpet with snow/slush ... am looking at the WeatherTech floorliner digitalfits and have a couple ?'s.

1) are these the best mats out there for the JGC?

2) if so, what color (black, tan, grey) would be best for a JGC Overland lt beige/dk beige interior?

http://www.weathertech.com/store/mvp...ItemGroupId=52

Thx!

Re: WeatherTech Colors for JGC Overland

Well I cant help you from experience but I can say out of all the different brands of rubber mats available weather techs are actually my LEAST favorite. The main thing they have their huge logo right on it. The last thing I want is a logo saying "weathertech" noticeable right when you open the doors.

IMO the Mopar rubber mats or Husky's are the best. I will be purchasing one of those two for my Overland.

As for what color for the light beige interior. Its a tough call because the carpet is like a dark brown. I saw a picture of that interior with the tan mats and I personally didnt like how it looked. The tan threw everything off. Since I dont think they make an exact match I would for sure go with black.

So my vote goes to black Mopar or Husky mats.

Hope this helps.

James

Thanks - certainly helps ... I hadn't seen the Mopar mats, but just looked them up (link below) and look pretty good and are in dark slate grey which seems like it would match the carpet well ... also quite a bit less expensive than the weathertechs ...

Husky's also linked below ...

Kinda like the mopar look and color match seems to be best ... hmmm ...

I agree with James, I bought a set of weathertech mats for my wifes Jeep Liberty and they work well but for the $170 and the ugly logo blaring in you face. I wouldnt buy them again.

I got a new set of Mopar slush mats that fit and match perfectly on Ebay for $75 for the front and rear seats.

Husky is probably the best for the money but the Mopars fit and match pefectly.

Re: WeatherTech Colors for JGC Overland

Having seen photos of the Weathertechs and the Huskys, I admit I made the choice to go with style over substance and buy the Mopar slush mats. Plain and simple, they don't cover as well, but they cover adequately in the target zone where most of the slop is gonna collect. I preferred the more agressive looking lug design that looks like a tire tread, and I liked the rubbery feel to them. I also think that the Grand Cherokee logo is tastefully done as an embossed look so you're not greeted with an aftermarket logo when you open the door. They will require a bit of extra maintenance around the edges where there is exposed carpet by the door sill, but they get the job done pretty well.

But from what I have seen, if max coverage is needed, the Weathertechs reign supreme.

I went with the Mopar mats (black), which look great against the frost beige interior and provide plenty of coverage for Colorado, IMO. Having lived in Wisconsin for most of my life, I very well may have gone for something more aggressive though.

I to live in Wisconsin and just took delivery of my Overland this past weekend. Installed the Weathertech's and love them. I have nothing else to compare them to and yes I agree, I hate advertising for someone who charges me a premium for the product.

Just bought the black MOPAR slush mats for my Overland today. They look great against the dark brown carpet ... not a perfect match, but the carpet is darker than I thought and the mats look fine. PERFECT fit ... nice and neat ... with holes to catch the tie down hooks.

Sella, I saw a Blackberry Pearl/Light Frost Overland V8 driving down Lincoln today toward Downtown, was that you ?

agreed the MOPAR slush mats for the win, also the matching cargo area mat is really nice and covers well. Here is a pic. It is the exact same color and material as the slush mats.

It is still impossible to find this item in stock here in DC. I have even started calling local Jeep dealers when I travel out of the area but still no joy. I refuse to have to pay delivery fees but may break down and go that route soon.

DC area is encased in ice this morning. I may go tooling around later if I can find where my wife hid my keys!
