Weathertech deflector

In-channel deflectors

They have been in for 12+ hours and I seated them according to the instructions. When closing the passenger or driver side window, mine tend to knick the rear part of the deflector. Is this normal? I'm worried that this might break them.

Re: Weathertech deflector

Think they need to be on the outside of the weatherstripping, not against the glass. Go to youtube, there is a Weathertech install for a JGC. If not there then on the Weathertech site.

Re: Weathertech deflector

I believe I see the issue. The rear of the deflector doesn't go back far enough nor will the b-pillar/weatherstripping allow it. The curve in the deflector is now offset so the window bumps it each time. Let's see what weathertech says.

For the record, I'm certain it's installed correctly.
