Re: WEATHERTECH ISSUE - 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee (7/30/2015 or LATER)

I just tried to install the front driver side weather tech mat and it doesn't fit correctly. The holes line up with the hooks and everything looks like it fits, but when you push down on the area where your feet would go, it sinks down. Seems like the redesigned floor just has a bit deeper contouring.

I ordered them from Justforjeeps.com before I knew about this issue. Once I found out they still didn't arrive, but when I spoke to customer service and brought it to their attention, they weren't aware of any problems. They just told me to try them out and if there was in fact an issue, they would pay for return shipping and refund my money.

I'll be sending back the weather tech and I'm going to try out the husky next.

WeatherTech just emailed me saying they should have the new version up on their web site and ready to ship within the next 8 weeks...

Re: WEATHERTECH ISSUE - 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee (7/30/2015 or LATER)

I just found this out first hand as well. I just traded my 2014 Summit for a 2015 HA and kept my Weathetechs. Sure enough the passenger side is very different. I can get away with using the older liner in there, but it definitely doesn't fit right. So I'll keep an eye out on this thread for when the updated ones come out.
Thanks.

You'll never look back. Better coverage and a non-slippery finish.

Exactly right. They've even updated the fronts with a shiny Husky emblem.

I just took these 3 pics of the Husky x-Act Contours passenger side. I highly recommend them. Got them from amazon. Driver and rear liners are perfect too. I've had the WeatherTecs before. These Husky liners provide more dead pedal coverage, more side sill coverage, no holes where they snap in, and are a better heavy soft rubber like material, and these Husky x-Act Contour liners are guaranteed for life.

Re: WEATHERTECH ISSUE - 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee (7/30/2015 or LATER)

I still just have the weathertech liners that I originally had in my 2014 now in my 2015. It fits close enough that I don't even care if they come out with the fix for the updated floor. I guess I just don't see what the big deal is. I mean yeah it doesn't fit like a glove like it did in my 2014, but its pretty damn close. For sure close enough where it doesn't bother me...plus, no one even sits on that side anyway lol.

I used the same weather-techs I had in my 2014 in my 2015. Yes there's a small difference on passenger side but nothing I cared about. They still fit and still do the job.

I used the same weather-techs I had in my 2014 Limited in my 2016 Summit. There's a small difference on the floor mat hooks in front seats but they still fit and still do the job.

Weathertech got the new mats up on their site today. Hoping they are in stock and not still being produced...

I did that. Love the husky liners man. They are pretty nice. My brother has weather techs in his explorer and I honestly think mine are nicer.
