Westin Platinum Tubular Side Steps

Anybody install these? My fiancÚ decided that our new 2012 GC Laredo X needs some kind of steps since its much higher than our Subaru Forester was. Any suggestions for steps besides the Mopar ones?

Re: Westin Platinum Tubular Side Steps

I bought Steelcraft, made in USA, much cheaper, high quality.

Re: Westin Platinum Tubular Side Steps

I just ordered the Steelcraft 3" nerf bars in black DIRT CHEAP with free shipping! Don't forget to put the 15% off code "BLAST15" in to the cart if you buy them.

They are out of stock for the stainless steel ones but the black powder coated ones are pretty rugged and will do just fine for me.

Re: Westin Platinum Tubular Side Steps

I tried on the Westin Platinum Oval 4" and didn't like the fit. They stuck out too far from the body and sprung a bit when stepping on them. Also, the plastic foot pads were paced too far forward when stepping out, so your foot would land on the curved surface of the metal. The quality of the materials was good though.

It really sucks that Jeep didn't provide us with an integrated solution. It's a pretty high step for kids, older people and those of us who are vertically challenged.
