What Accessories are a must IYO

Im new to the jeep world. Just got a 2012 limited 5.7 4x4 WK2 last week. Just curious what I should add and where to get it. In your opinion what's a MUST get!!! Besides wheels cause I already know that... I want overland wheels.

Re: What Accessories are a must IYO

i recently picked up an overland and this is what I'm thinking...

-Rubber mats for winter use (probably a non issue in AZ unless you plan to O.R.)

-Roof cross rails (unless you never plan to throw anything on top of the jeep). Not sure why they are not included with at least the limiteds/overlands.

-Shark fin antenna, but I haven't pulled the trigger on this as there are mixed reviews on the overall degraded reception with one.

  • Roof Rack
  • Nerf Bars/Running Boards (so you can reach the roof rack)
  • Trailer Hitch

Re: What Accessories are a must IYO

Depends on your tastes, but if you want added bling:

- chrome fog bezels
- stainless door sill guards
- illuminated front door sills
- bright pedal kit (self-installed)

I did a 'before and after' reception test (number of stations on AM and FM received). Found no difference. No difference in satellite reception that I noticed.
Some have questioned whether metallic paint made a difference, mine is Bright Silver.
Strictly from an appearance standpoint, I'd buy the fin. Mine was from Visual Garage Inc., most agree that is the place to buy.

For now cat back exhaust and CAI. Then a chip/tuner when they come out.

Re: What Accessories are a must IYO

Gotta have some cross rails and a Mother Of All Baskets from Thule. Anytime you see one of those on top of a WK2, you can guarantee that car has had some good times off road.

Re: What Accessories are a must IYO

I'd go with Chrome fog light bezels and probably more important - a mask for the nose. It's a laser cut, clear plastic film that protects the front end from stones chipping the paint. A week after I had mine installed, a rubber trash can lid was in front of me on the highway while doing 60. I had no where to go and it glanced off the front left corner, causing only a smudge on the mask. It paid for itself.

Re: What Accessories are a must IYO

Protective film for the front is a MUST. There is alot of paint on the front of these things. LOL

Next, upgrade the floormats. I hate carpet mats!

Third, install a trailer hitch. Gives people something to bang their shins on while they are walking around gawking at your vehicle.

Re: What Accessories are a must IYO

Slush Floor Mats ARE A MUST....I find the Mopar ones look very good and I bought them the day I picked up my Overland: http://moparestore.trademotion.com/M...ts&group=Slush

The shark fin antenna is also a keeper and VERY NICE. Mine is on order: http://visualgarage.com/

Finally, I would go with the Volant CAI. Added performance and it just sounds AWESOME: http://store.newlevelmotorsports.com/161576.html

Have fun!!
