What Appearance Options Are There?

It looks like there's really isn't much for aftermarket on these. I already have highly polished Summit 20" OEM wheels, Painted the calipers to match the Jeep and debadged it. Short of a SRT bumper and hood is there anything else?

I swore I wouldn't tear into this vehicle like I always do so I won't build anything custom. I just want people to say "I know something is different, but WHAT"

Ideas?

Re: What Appearance Options Are There?

What are you starting with, i see your sig but pics make it more fun. You've got grills/backgrounds, color matched mirrors and door handles, flares, valances, exhaust, interior trim, brembos, tail light surrounds, headlights. I like your approach with that question, discreet mods are very nice.

Re: What Appearance Options Are There?

Ok so if you have a Limited this is what I would personally do. I would get all paint matched panels like a Overland to start. If you have every single option like your signature states, then you already have the HID projector headlights with LED's so thats already there. You already have the nice Summit wheels. So as far as exterior goes just get some panels paint matched and it would look killer!
If you want a little more pronounced exhaust note there are nice aftermarket exhaust systems available for your V8 Grand Cherokee.

I'm looking at corsa because I hate drone. Had it with my 300c but it also had Kooks and Spartan cam. I'll think about the panels. I like to stare at the vehicle and imagine the change before doing it.

I painted my trailer hitch to match lol

Re: What Appearance Options Are There?

If you hate drone don't get an exhaust but I definitely agree on getting the lowers painted.

I'd also recommend Brembo's but you'd either need to get some spacers or purchase new wheels since they won't fit over the Summit's.

So it's NOT just me that noticed a massive need for braking improvement!

I had to jam the brakes while towing the ski because some dick cut me off and nailed his brakes. I thought I was going to crush his car.

Re: What Appearance Options Are There?

I've tried a lot of different exterior mods...but have ripped a bunch of them off afterwards also...

I now have all the SRT bumpers and panels but I'm not sure I want to put them on...I'm thinking I'll just sell mine in the spring and get a new SRT Black Vapor ...

I did the Brembos as well and It is a GREAT improvement over the stock brakes...it's not a lot of money either ...I bought a set of new Take Off SRT bremobos for about $1,000 and then spent another 800$ ish on the lines and Rotors....you'll need SRT Wheels or something that fits SRT's as well though as MOFSTEEL said though...the Stock Summitt wheels won't fit...you'd need like a 2" spacer to make them work

Although I wouldn't mind 6 pistons up front I love these wheels and don't care for the stock SRT wheels. I'll do lines pads and DBA rotors and it will improve it.

Why don't you like the SRT bumper and hood? I love the WK2 SRT chiseled front end.

They have some new bumper covers on ebay for $350 shipped in my white paint.

Re: What Appearance Options Are There?

I bought a used SRT front and rear bumper off ebay and bought everything else new...I love the way the SRT looks but i'm not sure it's worth putting another 5K$ worth of stuff on my limited as it would be a total wash when I sell it..

i'm really thinking I'm just going to get an SRT next spring...so I may just sell off the SRT parts later....the black trim on the bottom of the sides are the "rockers" and over the wheels is the "fender trim" ...you can buy paintable flares from Just for jeeps for like $200 ....if you're talking about the lower part of the rear bumper on an SRT then you're talking about is this part

1 - 68157471AB - Lower Bumper Cover

LOWER COVER | Genuine Mopar | 68157471AC

I bought one off ebay NIP for like 150$

you'll also need new rockers...fender flares/trim and rear bumper ...like I got...

you'll need to buy new DRL LED lights+Projectors and those are another $850 ....its a very expensive conversion

I did an aftermarket Hood on my jeep and I kind of wish I had just gone with the stock SRT hood...much cleaner

I went with a Sarona Fiberglass hood...(mostly because of the DAMN acorns in the northeast..especially those that fall in my driveway)

Re: What Appearance Options Are There?

Thanks that's pretty much the info I was looking for. I don't think I want to spend all that money but I do have a OEM SRT hood in my cart and I can paint it myself so about $650 all in isn't bad.

Maybe I will leave this one alone after the hood. I just need a project or I get in trouble. My ski is done and I'm bored with it now.

Re: What Appearance Options Are There?

Yeah man....go for the SRT hood and stop there ...you'll be in for 5K$ if you try doing the whole SRT body package ...there's a LOT of stuff to get

plus paint and install.....

not really worth it
