I did it by removing the 4 rivets in the front of the fender liner and the 3 screws along the bottom. From thee I just pulled the liner back and swapped them out, put the screws back in, and replaced the rivets with screw in rivets from autozone (1/4 size) CLStech posted a picture with the part number but I don't have it immediately handy.

Ok, just put in the Putco jet yellow 3000k H11 in the fogs. Pics did not turn out well. They are a dull yellow. Not really any brighter than the stock bulbs. Looks more like the yellow bulbs you see in front porch lights. Was expecting a crisp yellow light. Should have went with the Piaa plasma ion 2500k or an HID kit. $27 mistake.

i see, i know what you mean... some folks who put in LED h11 also mention the light is not that much useable, maybe its because projector fog lamps?

I believe HID's would work best.

I would like to see pics of your yellow fogs.

Re: What are the factory 2014 FOG light bulbs?

I suspect it's more the optics than the bulbs. Wonder when the aftermarket will come up with a retrofit kit with plain ol' reflector optics?

Got to test the Putco yellow fogs tonight in the rain and fog. They actually performed well! Increased visibility so the view of the road is not as reflective. I could see the white lines on the road turn to a pale yellow. Still not crazy about the appearance but functions well! Not bad for $27.

Re: What are the factory 2014 FOG light bulbs?

Many years ago R&T did a test of bulb colors in fog lights and found white was the best. The found yellow bulbs did not provide the same coverage and just didnt provide the right kind of light.
Also remember a fog light should have a very defined cut off at about bumper height, provide decent coverage off to the side and not throw to much light down range. A good foglight also helps you avoid potholes. Foglights, headlights, driving lights and pencil beams all have very defined patterns and each light fills in the holes. I used to have my 3 series wired so the foglights, low and high beams and pencil beams cold all come on individually and I also could have all the lights on at the same time.

Road and track can do all of the tests they want but I have had 3k hid's in the fog lights of my fusion and yellow halogen bulbs in fog lights in other vehicles and they definitely make a difference over standard white.

I went with 80w CREE LEDs. Only had to remove 2 plastic rivets on each side to pull back the liner and reach the fog housing. Took 5 minutes total. I just wanted to match the headlamps. Went with 6000k

Stock on left and led on right.
