Re: What is the porpouse for this space

From 2014 owners manual.

CARGO AREA FEATURES

Rechargeable Flashlight

The rechargeable flashlight is mounted on the left side of

the cargo area. The flashlight snaps out of the bezel when

needed. The flashlight features two bright LED light

bulbs and is powered by rechargeable lithium batteries

that recharge when snapped back into place.

Press in on the flashlight to release it.

To operate the flashlight, press the switch once for high,

twice for low, and a third time to return to off.

-------

Check all the storage spaces. They probably ship uninstalled. Could be by the spare.

Thank you for the reply , I only wanted to know , because my salesman is the worst , he wanted to deliver the car without carpets and no rear sunshade. I told him how a $57k car don't comes with that , and even argued that it did not came with that.

This.

I've never used it.
I've showed it to people, but then pull out my 700 lumen Maglite style LED flashlight to really be able to see things (or the 220 lumen smaller flashlight in the center console).

That OEM flashlight is probably about 20 lumens, pretty much useless.

Hmmm.... Wonder if I could break it open and solder in some better/brighter LEDs....

My dealership is almost as bad!

They forgot the remote control and wireless headphones for the rear DVD entertainment system... TWICE!

I went back the next day the first time it happened. When I purchased my 2nd WK2, I checked before I left and found them missing again. Had the sales manager produce them on the spot & hand them over to me.

Go back to the stealership and demand the items your vehicle is supposed to have!

You need to have it, otherwise you have that ugly hole in the panel.
