I went back and fixed my rear mud flaps today. When I was in an accident a year ago, the body shop did a piss poor job on it. Used wrong screws and bolts and such.
Anyways, first thing I did was try to pop out the popper they used instead of a plastic rivet. Turns out, it's not even locked in place. I mean, the popper is locked, but it's not the right thing for the right spot. It pulls right out. On my passenger side, instead of having the Mopar's 10MM bolt and the OEM 8MM, a small screw, I had the 10MM, 8MM, and a 7MM bolt. All were installed in the wrong locations. I found my spare baggies of parts from when I first did the mud flap install. Had a couple of those clips and flat screws left. I was able to used the wrong bolts and put them in the correct part. Even though the poppers don't fit properly, I have to leave them in place until I pick up another baggy of pop-rivets.
Anyways, I notice my rear fenders have these smoothed top popper type locks instead of whatever they are originally. I'm hoping some of you guys can take a pic of them so I know what they are suppose to look like.
I also found a bunch of trapped dirt/sand from this past year building up on the rear passenger side bumper corner area. For some reason, it was collecting there. It was between the bumper cover, and that metal liner it screws into.
