Perfect thanks viper bought one set to test them for fog lights but will try them in low beams as well. Color wise do they look like hid with the projector or just super white halogen bulbs?

You can choose the colour of bulbs on the kelvin scale, light colour, just google
this and research a little, can match your colour of bulbs to white, blue tint
what ever colour suites you best.

Question Re: What's the verdict on LED headlight bulbs vs. HID?

I have just installed the Genssi 5000k LED H11s and LOVE them. Now I'm running into an issue with the FM radio stations are not broadcasting clearly with the lights switched on. When I switch off the lights, radio works perfect. Has anyone else run into this and how can I correct it? I heard something about EMI being the case and properly grounding the driver to a metal surface could help, but before i start drilling, I'd like to know if there is an easier solution. Right now, I have the drivers zip-tied away from any moving parts.

Re: What's the verdict on LED headlight bulbs vs. HID?

Those look like the same model I use, and I don't have any interference issues.

I simply velco'd them to a vertical area right behind the headlight. I think I have pics earlier in this thread.

Re: What's the verdict on LED headlight bulbs vs. HID?

Thanks for your feedback. I had only purchased these because of your comments regarding them. In parallel to waiting for a response here, I contacted the seller with my concern and they are sending me warning eliminators. They feel that this should fix the problem. We shall wait and see how this goes. While I have your attention, the fog lamps that I have use the 9145 (H10) type bulbs. I now want to replace them with the LEDs to match the headlights. I see that there are H10 type that are rated 80W CREE LED and the standard incandescent bulbs are only rated 45W each. Will I run into any electrical issues with the higher wattage bulbs? These will have the same temperature color as the headlights, but not the same lumens and I'm not sure if I really need to pay twice as much for the fog lights with the same lumens or not. What's your opinion?

I bought a set of fog lights from VLEDS to match my led headlights, have been happy with them, took a little modification to install, but did not have to alter any factory wiring, i did post a thread with pics, check it out, hopefully this helps.

Re: What's the verdict on LED headlight bulbs vs. HID?

Long story short... the Genssi 5000k LEDs are going back. No matter what I tried, I couldn't get the FM radio interference to go away. I even had the same/similar problem in my Honda Pilot.

Does anyone have a recommendation for alternate LEDs that I should look into? I like the 6000k-8000k color temp and anything over 2000 lumen would be preferred.

Re: What's the verdict on LED headlight bulbs vs. HID?

cworthem,

Another great option is JW Speaker model 6145....in depth thread on this forum about these....though they are not cheap. Although they are roughly 5000k.

Scottina06,

I think you've had the JW speaker fogs on one of your previous vehicles.....do you like the philips led xtreme better?

Re: What's the verdict on LED headlight bulbs vs. HID?

So I am thinking about pulling the trigger on these. I am going to run them as headlights (low beams) not fogs. Whats everyone's thought.

Hmmmm interesting product! The question is though are they brighter/have a better beam pattern than the stock halogens?
