Thanks for the info! I use Waze at times too. Google bought them so many of the alerts are integrated into the Google app. I normally use Google Maps as I find Waze to be a little too busy while I'm driving.

Waze addict here. I really wish that Uconnect would just have Apple CarPlay and let us use apps.

Well, it looks like we're shit out of luck.

Only the 2016 models will be worthy of this update.

Re: Where do you put your phone?

I open the door right below the climate controls and wedge my phone in between the open door and the fan control speed knob. Fits perfectly and great for when I use the phone's GPS. out of the way of everything I need and both my cup holders are still free for , well, cups.

Re: Where do you put your phone?

I did that, at first but quickly realistic that the faux-metallic finish will quickly start to wear off, around the edges. So I decided to relocate the the ports that come out of there, to the center console. Now, I don't have to touch that door again and it'll remain like new.

Cheers,
Ollie

Where do you put your phone?

If my phone is not left in my pocket or jacket pocket, I put it in the cup holder or between my legs. Although I'm concerned about radiation on my nads so I try not to place it between my legs much because it eventually slides back down under my crotch or I'll forget it's there and jump out and my phone goes skating across the ground. Broke my iPhone 6 that way, got it the day they came out and the next morning I had it between my legs. Got out of the GC and it went flying across the garage floor underneath my wife's car. Busted screen

I have a relatively soft case so I'm not too worried about metal or finishes wearing off. It would take a few millennia for that to happen in my case.

Thanks for sharing your horror story and being so detailed lol, it has happened to me on previous phones i've had so i know not to do that with my iPhone 6+. Only mayhem my phone goes through is whenever i handed it to my 1yr old daughter. But im rocking a Tech21 shock absorbent case. We'll see how long it lasts...

Re: Where do you put your phone?

I put mine in the small compartment in the center console. Phone is Bluetooth so no need to have it anywhere else.

I wasn't a fan of the air vent mount. I bought this smaller one. It fits perfectly on the drivers side.
