Great let us know how the 6000ks match up with the SRT LEDs. I'm guessing that the SRT LEDs are in the 5500k-6000k range because they don't look as blue as the multitude of other H11 LEDs I tried in the fogs that were 6500k before settling on the SRT LEDs. So I bet the 6000Ks are pretty close, see if you can notice any loss of lumens with the 6000ks or if its too little to detect.

Re: Which replacement HIDs (2016 HA)?

Here's a quick video I just took showing you what the backside of the hids look like

I removed the twist off cap but you'll see how easy it is to remove the bulb

You just move the little lever and it loosens the hold on the bulb
Remove the bulb and then remove the plug

Plug in the new bulb and then make sure it's seated well into the holder..and then you just flip the lever the other way and it should be nice and snug ..you should be able to tell if it's not seated properly because it will probably pop out like you'll see here

Good luck

Re: Which replacement HIDs (2016 HA)?

Uninvited comments, I know, but I am skeptical of claims that you can increase output while going up in Kelvins and staying at the same 35 W wattage. In that regards, at least the D3S Phillips bulb does not claim any more or fewer lumens than the factory 4300 K, just a whiter color. But cosmetics are important. My wife says so.

Does the front bumper need to come off for the SRT fog install?

bumper does not need to come off. Remove whichever type of fender liner fasteners you have and fold back the front portion of the fender liners. Four plastic clips hold the fog assembles in place, pop out the old ones and pop on the LED ones. Its an easy install. There is a detailed write up floating around somewhere on here that will give you more info on it. Its not a hard install at all though.

Has anyone swapped out the D3S bulb from a 2106 JGC HA??? The Jeep dealer is saying that they are unable to swap out the bulb and it is not servicable?!? I've sent them videos and pics and they say that the back of my headlight you can't access the bulb like in the pics and video shown in the thread... help!

Thanks, but I already have the bulbs, can the OEM be replaced with aftermarket? The pics on this thread show it to be a pretty straightforward process once you gain access to the headlight. They are saying that my bulbs can't be accessed... Anything I'm missing between a 2015 and 2016? IE any model year changes regarding bulb access specifically on a 2016 HA?

I agree, but I think something changed on the 2016 where there is no longer a cover, I don't disagree on the 2015s but in 2016 three other people have stated that you can't access the bulb. The tech at my Jeep dealership said that he can't even access the bulb (with the headllight removed) and that the tech sheet says that the entire assembly has to be replaced which mirrors what two other posters have mentioned... I am just awaiting confirmation from someone with a 2016 that can confirm with pictures...

Thanks again Scott, I appreciate all of your help!

Re: Which replacement HIDs (2016 HA)?

Not sure why they would put a headlight in a jeep that had to be completely changed if the bulb went out. Would be a first in the industry that I'm aware of....other than led headlamps.

Jeep has in the past. When I had an old Cherokee, you didnt just replace the bulb. It was a single fixture that included the high and low beams.
