Question Whispbar Roof Rack???

I've been attempting to locate the Yakima Whispbar Roof Rack for my 2011 WK2 and according to the website, I need the S25 bar and the K624 mount kit. Unfortunately, I can only find these specs over seas. After doing Google search, none of the distributors seem to have the parts I need. Has anyone encountered this problem? If this was an earlier posts, I apologize.

Thanks!
Steve

Re: Whispbar Roof Rack???

REI normally has or can get these parts. Try www.rei.com or contact Yakima directly at www.yakima.com

Re: Whispbar Roof Rack???

Thanks for the response, however I still don't see the K624 Mount kit on any website. I can find the S25 bar, but without the proper Mount Kit, I'm dead in the water.

Re: Whispbar Roof Rack???

Or, if you are still set on the Yakimas, a direct phone call to Yakima in Oregon would seem to be the best bet here.

Re: Whispbar Roof Rack???

Nonpr01,

My second choice is the Aeroblade, but I was sold on the video showing the huge difference in noise production with the Whispbar. What's your experience with the wind noise while driving?

I'm going to attempt to contact them directly and see what they say, but I think it's silly that the euro Yakima website shows the parts specifically for our Jeep's and it's not available domestically. Uugh!!

BTW, great looking ride. I ended up with the 18" Limited rims, but sure like the look of the 20's much better.

Thanks to all for your responses.

Steve

They where so good I put another set in my BMW this week.

Re: Whispbar Roof Rack???

Some people ask me where the racks will have no wind noise and that is it for me front and back bars.
Good starting point where I do not get any noise right now some people has found it also helpful.

Re: Whispbar Roof Rack???

I also was interested in purchasing the Yakima Whipserbar for my 2012 WK2 but I received an e-mail response directly from Yakima to that same question and it stated that this product was not currently available for my Jeep. They siad to recheck their website in the future for availability but they did not state that they would have this for the later Grand Cherokee. I have since purchased the Mopar set and was pleased to see that the cross bar looks areodynamic.
