You can lock it in by pressing the up and down buttons at the same time and holding them for ~5-10s IIRC. The EVIC will then flash "QL disabled."

Re: Whiter fog lights

So I have been following this thread.

What is the answer to which part number of bulb to get? Is H16/5202 the bulb to get or does it depend on which manufacturer?

I was thinking of these....

LED...Yellow...and 5202.

Re: Whiter fog lights

Yellow, amber...I am okay with either. I just want to make sure they fit right!

I was thinking...if they don't and modifications are required, maybe I can use some rescue tape, that kind that molds to itself to seal any holes? Wrap it around the housing hole. Or just some silicone sealant? I dunno...just typing out loud.

just ordered the Nokya, wanted the Putco's but like others have said with the seal problems - i don't have time to mod a socket when it's suppose to fit correctly in the first place.

I wouldn't buy those, what's the point of getting LED's for your fogs? You will obviously have less light and what's the goal? to look cool?

Re: Whiter fog lights

How do you think Audi is pulling off LED headlights? I'd put LED's in my fogs just so they'd match my headlights if I could figure out how to access them without taking off the bumper and which LEDs to get.

I think you're mistaken with Audi's LED DRL's. Those aren't headlights.

Re: Whiter fog lights

Maybe I'm just misunderstanding, but I thought the more expensive version of the new Audi A6 only had LED's for headlights. I don't see HID's or halogen bulbs in them.

I don't think, maybe I'm mistaken but if they have a projector then it's either Halogen or HID. The LED DRL's are probably just blinding you so bad you can't see the headlights lol.

Re: Whiter fog lights

Recent fully-loaded Cadillac Escalades have LED headlights...I'd imagine the technology is much more advanced and effective than some $30 bulbs from eBay though.
