Re: Whiter fog lights

Got it.

If its a good vendor they should contact Putco. Putco is excellent at standing behind the products if there is a problem.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Re: Whiter fog lights

I put the LEDs in after shaving a couple of tabs. I found it easier to file them down instead of using a knife and they fit perfect. It has been about two weeks and there has not been any over heating issues. I find myself looking for them regurly after reading some of these posts. They match pretty well but might be a little whiter than the headlights. I will try to take some pics later.

Well they shouldn't, they're LED's for pete's sake lol.

Ever thought of getting something else that would actually give you output?

Re: Whiter fog lights

Installing LED bulbs in your fog lights will enhance the colour however you will lose a lot of functional light output.

Bmrisko: I can assure you that the optics of the headlight is designed for this type of application and the LED diodes used are going to be a ALOT brighter than the ones you will find in LED replacement bulbs.

Re: Whiter fog lights

Thanks for posting about the yellow fogs guys. After searching online i was debating between the putco and nokya yellow fogs.... glad i searched here for reviews before buying

sad that there isn't a good option out there for a nice halogen yellow fog replacment.

Re: Whiter fog lights

We just started carrying Nokya lighting as well. Their H16 / 5202 bulbs are available in yellow, arctic white, and cosmic white.

I ordered some Putco bulbs off your site and had to shave one of the tabs off to make them fit. Not a big issue for me but just want to let everybody know they are not a direct fit.

Re: Whiter fog lights

Do the Nokya's require trimming?

Re: Whiter fog lights

Hi,

Honestly... Its a new product for us so I really don't know what to tell you. We have sold many of the Putco H16 / 5202 bulbs and no one has mentioned that they had to trim anything so I don't know if it's an isolated incident or not.

Re: Whiter fog lights

It definitely needed trimming. There are three tabs on the plastic housing. Those three tabs insert into the fog light housing to make a secure fit. The tab that is on the side by itself is on the opposite side of where it should be. It only took 5 seconds to shave it off with a razor blade.
