Thanks, You got it no sensors, although it scares me thinking of my wife backing up and not looking just listening, haha

Maybe some light tint on your tail lights would keep it classy, and some front window tint.

You took it like a champ, Juan!

Oh and what is that sticker for on your rear bumper? That's gotta go!
Yea my wrangler is 17 years old and she is super careful with that one, somehow she likes to Mod the new one...

Sticker is the yearly state inspection that we have to do here every year in Hawaii, your right it has to go... I have a bracket that will make it so that it will be right next to the rear license plate just haven't had a chance to do it.

Hm, never looked into tinting lights. Do you take it somewhere like a window tint shop? Also, by "front window" do you mean the windshield?

Most people here ship their tails to Scott, he is the vendor for tinting tail lights. He does an awesome job. Below is the link, his contact info is on Post #21

http://jeepgarage.org/showthread.php?t=18629

I think that your GC would look really good with the rear tail lights lightly tinted and the backup portion kept white like mhasslers. Really makes the chrome pieces pop on the back. Check out his thread, pics of his tail lights are there, I think that you could go one or two shades lighter. Seems like your going for the stock look. See post #14, Scott tinted both of our tail lights. I know that "moose" had has tail lights very lightly tinted on a silver GC and it looks really good.

I just took a second look at your GC looks like you already lightly tinted the front windows. Looks good! Some guys do get the front windshield tinted, I'm not really a fan mainly due to the legalities of it, and not being able to see as well at night. I do like the look though, kinda makes cars look like they are in a TV commercial.

Hey thanks for the info! I hadn't thought about tinting tail lights until I saw yours. I'll look into it.

I got the front windows tinted as dark as I could. I think that's 35% here in Texas? The % is on the window, I'll check it when I'm off work.

What do you think of LED tails? You're right I'm not trying to go too far from stock, but I do want to make it mine. I was thinking the LEDs would totally change the look, so I'm on the fence.

I guess it depends on the LED's. Which ones are you thinking of? Post a link.

IMO the tail lights look to red and make your eyes focus on them instead of the rest of the vehicle. I haven't seen anyone here with a wk2 with LED rears. How about LED's and some light tint on top

Re: Wife's latest WK2 Mods!

Juan, you're right. The LED tail threads here at JG are not WK2s. I'm thinking I'll stay with stock and look into tinting those. Scott's work looks pretty top notch so I"ll get with him when I'm ready.

This is what the wife backed up into, fortunately the fire extinguisher box was not hurt.

Re: Wife's latest WK2 Mods!

My wife "modded" both of our Jeeps at the same time! I was gonna say, "I got front-ended by my wife", but could have been read the wrong way.

We usually park our jeeps beside on another, with mine on the driveway pad behind hers. This one day, I parked directly behind her Jeep for whatever reason.

She hopped in her Jeep, checked the rearview and did not SEE my Jeep and prceeded to back out. She knocked out my driverside headlight and bent the quarter panel. She took out her tail light and just puckered her plastic bumper (2004 Laredo).

Turned into TWO insurance claims for the same event. UGH!!

Re: Wife's latest WK2 Mods!

Wow Juan, hope my wife doesn't meet you or i'm i gonna! She has a 5yr old Holden Statesman bought (3 yrs ago) in pristine condition at 28000kms. no damage on back (sensors) but!! firstly she "accidently" put it in D instead of R and "just rolled" into my open workshop door. The door cost $20aud to fix the statesman $800!!!
Then whilst my lady was "distracted" my 2 year old daughter decided to draw circles on all right hand side panels............WITH A RoCK!!!

Anyway i gave up and i am picking up MY new WK2 v6 Laredo in 3 days! can't wait! and needless to say IT will be in the secure garage!!!!
