Will MY '15 headliner fit in MY '12?

So I have posted here before about my disdain for the fact that the Saddle/Black interiors have white headliners. The good news is that my dad has a 2015 Summit with the black suede headliner. He will be trading it in within a few months and told me he would not mind if i swapped the headliners before he does that. I have a friend that works in service for a local Jeep dealer and he said that the two would have to have the exact same options or there is a chance that wiring harnesses would have to be re-routed. My ultimate question is this, are they really running wiring for things other than the sunroof and lighting through the headliner?

What about Summit having Noise Cancellation Mic's in the headliner.
Their might be some rear tweeters in the back corners too, I can't recall.

I would not like white headliner either but I think you're asking for trouble trying to swap that.

Why don't you take your dad's and trade in yours and work out a deal

I never thought about the noise cancellation in the newer ones, mine definitely doesn't have that. I think the tweeters are actually in the pillars at the rear and not in the headliner. As far as buying his, believe me the thought has crossed my mind. I'm just too upside down in my loan to make that work right now.

If the headliner does fit, it should still work even with the 4 microphones.

Figure out what the part number is for those microphone assemblies and somehow drill a hole in your current white headliner to attach to it. (Or you can always just ignore it and hope the dealership doesn't notice when your dad trades it in).

As for you, just keep your dad's the way it is. The mics will be visible but they won't function. The A Pillars are also suede, gotta see if they match as well as sunroof.

Now that I write all of that. It's probably better if you wrap it with suede. It's much easier than you think. I'm not one to tackle certain jobs, but I would do that If I had the money and space to do it. Or just pay a professional.

Another option is fabric paint. The following video shows a guy doing exactly that.

My big issue with the microphones is that I don't want him to lose value if the Jeep dealer noticed. Although I would assume that 98% of the people doing appraisals for those dealers wouldn't have the slightest clue. As far as wrapping it in suede or fabric paint, I'm just not that serious about it to go either of those routes.
