There are a whole bunch of pictures with different options - with various lights on the bar RRO was going to send me some soon to post
Looking forward to the pics. Timing is good, as I'll be ready to buy a bar, or some configuration soon.

I installed the RRO winch mount today. Spent 3 hours on it today. The mount is installed. I'll install the winch tomorrow. I'll cut the bolt holes for the bar to be installed later.

I also live in the mountains. Although not a hard-core 4-wheeler, having the GC with a winch will be useful. I'd rather have a hidden winch, without the full bumper, than no winch. To me, it's "insurance". I've had to use a winch on numerous occasions. (I do miss my built-up Wrangler).

Re: Winch Mount and bumper

Got my RRO winch mount and Warn VR10000 winch mounted. This confirms the Warn VR10000 winch will fit. I'm also using the Warn wireless control.

Re: Winch Mount and bumper

just be carefull with the cable because it could damage your trans cooler. I already replaced mine with a synthetic rope.

Not sure why a full bumper would make a difference. If you get stuck in mud, others get stuck, stock in snow, stuck in anything you now would have something to pull you out. Plus the front air damn is removable.

Don't get me wrong, I'm under no allusions that the full independent suspension WK2 is an offroad beast but there is still value in having a winch and is by no means "poser"

Re: Winch Mount and bumper

This is the only design fault that i see with this set up. You have to be very carefull with the transmission cooler because you can seriously damage it.

Mine is a Hemi overland.

maybe relocating the cooler is a good idea.

Re: Winch Mount and bumper

OK - Tons of pictures last night from Rocky Road - I am going to try to post a dropbox link, rather than uploading these all, but if it doesn't work I will go to plan B....

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/to3c9pv88hwmq73/4bA34i5x-p

There are multiple options here -
1. If you just want the uber-clean look, you can do the fairlead, and the new Light tabs - to put a couple additional lights on the front.
2. You can do the new Light bar only (no bumper cover)
3. a new Straight plate bumber cover, with 2 holes on top for a couple lights
4. Straight Plate with the new light bar
5. Wider bumper cover, with no additions (no upper light bar)
6. Full width bumper cover with upper light bar)
7. Full width bumper with all options

So - just for grins, with the upper rack, we had up to 14 auxiliary lights mounted on here - there are various mounting tabs across the new light bars so you can meet pretty well any configuration. RRO is working on the options to post online, and should be up in the next few weeks for ordering.

As a note - ALL of these require the base winch mount, since everything attaches to that for mounting points.

Thanks! I'm ready to order, as soon as RRO let's me. Maybe I'll call them and see if I can get an order in without waiting for the website to be updated.

Re: Winch Mount and bumper

I haven't heard any prices as of yet. That is part of their process is to figure out build cost, shipping cost, then they will get them posted online. I would guess a couple weeks for the final details to be worked out, but don't quote me on the timing. They are expanding their manufacturing capabilities with a ground breaking in the next few days, so it all depends on what everybody has going on.....

Re: Winch Mount and bumper

So I can purchase the base winch mount now and install it and then add
7. Full width bumper with all options when they release it or is it better to wait.

Thanks

Re: Winch Mount and bumper

Yes. The base stayed the same. All of the other pieces are mounted on from there, so can be added later.
