If you have tinted you 2011 JGC windows, what % did you go with and how does it match the rear windows? Also has anybody put an eyebrow on and did it effect the auto high/low beams?
I paid $90 + tax for the front 2 windows...Suntek CXP18, which is Suntek's top of the line film, so that price sounds about right if that is one of Llumar's top of the line films, but I am not familiar with their different films.
My current car (waiting on my Jeep delivery) I went with Huper Optik tint. Living in Texas I've had tint on every car I've owned going back 25 years, probably 50 cars total. I've used just about every tint out there. I was a big 3M fan in the 90's then switched to LLumar in the 2000's. While expensive, Huper Optik will be on every car from now on.
Texas law is no front, 35% front side windows, and 20% all around the back. I used to do 20% LLumar on all the windows except the front. With the Huper tint, I get more heat rejection with their 37% than I did with LLumar 20%. Also, since it's ceramic based, it will never fade or change colors. After four year with it, I'm sold and will be getting it on my JGC.
Just got my MG Overland tinted at 25% with 3M tint. Was done at Top of the Line in Lodi, NJ. Was worried about the auto dimming side mirrors, but they really arent as bad as I thought they would be. No different than looking out of your rear view.
