WK2 2014 on a WK2 2011?

Hi guys,
My 2011 grand cherokee has had a minor front end accident which i wont claim through the insurance due tonthe high excess.
I went to the local wreckyard and they have a grand cherokee 2014 bodykit for sale (front and rear bumper)
I notice the headlights on the 2011 and 2014 grand cherokee are different.
I was wondering if the front and rear bumper from that 2014 will still fit on my 2011?

They also have a 2015 srt front bumper but i guess i would need the front fares to be changed as wel as the srt front bumper is wider than the laredo one.
Thanks guys

Not sure about the non SRT bumpers...but I can tell you if you go with the SRT parts you need front/rear bumpers + Flares and a lot of other stuff....I bought all the SRT parts and it cost me prob $3500 not counting paint + Install

Maybe you could go with the 2014 setup and change the headlights also?

Hi Ajag,

Thanks for your reply.
Could you be able to give me a detailed breakdown of the parts i would need?
Also would it be as easy as taking the old laredo bumper out and put the new srt bumper in?
Would it fit even tho i dont change the headlight?

Ive tried to look for topic covering a convertion but couldnt find anything.

Cheers

Re: WK2 2014 on a WK2 2011?

You would need the entire front end. Bumper, grill, headlights, and possibly brackets or some other parts behind the bumper that we don't know about. Also, be sure these are not parts from a Summit because if they are, then like the SRT you are gonna need a LOT more including the flares, lower side skirts, rear bumper.
Honestly, unless you absolutely want the 2014+ look, it would be much easier to just replace with original 2011-2013 parts.

Re: WK2 2014 on a WK2 2011?

Im actually really keen reason why im trying to get as much info as possible before going ahead.

My car is black and the part will come from a black srt8 which seems to be the same color.
The guy is including:
- the front bar with all grill, fog lights, front colition detector.
- rear bar with grill
- exhaust line if needed

No fares tho as they have been damaged due to a side end accident however i believe i can get them online for a cheap price.

Im just really worried that i will get the front and rear bumpers, i go home and they dont end up fitting on my 2011 model (especially since the head lights are of a different shape)

Any of you guys have done the same mods?
Did you go through issues while putting the front or rear bar on?

Cheers

Re: WK2 2014 on a WK2 2011?

i don't know if the 2011 is different than the 2014 but the 2014 SRT bumpers/cover etc fit right onto a limited/laredo with no issues.

I've test fit all my SRT parts and am just waiting til the spring to put them all on....you can get flares easily...

but if you can find a good deal on the SRT stuff then give it a shot...I bought the SRt parts piece by piece and it got VERY expensive..especially since the DRL LED's up front are $600 new and the 2 projectors will cost you another $250 new...so thats $850 in just front lighting alone...not counting the headlights...If it were me...i'd guess that these would probably fit right on without any major mods needed..
