I've got one of those floating around in the trunk.

front plate kit part # 68102165AA cost 14.68..........great but not for you guys who don't like holes in your bumper ...when properly mounted u will have 6 (six)holes total in your bumper four for bracket two mounting plate to bracket unless your use shorter screws to mount the plate (not supplied) only six long ones with the kit ....but it looks great on bumper pat

I'm having them fix the front bumper so now I won't be getting my Grand until Tuesday. That sucks.
That sounds good, but there really is no way to "fix" it after drilling new holes. if they tried to fill them in, and sand and paint the bumper again you are now buying a "new" car that has already had body work. Painting plastic is very difficult, and most dealers just don't do a good job of it. You may not find out until years later when your at the spray bay at the carwash and the paint starts to come off. I would be extremely pissed off if I was you, the only proper fix is a new front fascia painted at the factory but I doubt they would fix it that way.

Re: WK2 front license plate

Thanks for the tip Pattyboy. I bought my WK2 in PA, but live in NJ (which requires front plate). I went to the dealer and ordered the bracket - thanks for providing the part no. Using the bracket, while not ideal, is certainly better than just sticking the plate right on the bumper/facia with screws.

Re: WK2 front license plate

My dealer threw the bracket into the back of my Jeep - did not ask for or order. Had them install it for me. I brought SS hex socket screws with me for them to use.

As much as I hate front plates, the bracket does conform nicely to the contour of the front bumper. A naked plate on front would look horrible IMHO.

Re: WK2 front license plate

Mine did not come with the factory bracket even though it should have. The dealer screwed it directly to the bumper. I bought a chrome frame and cover and stainless steel screws and now it looks fine screwed directly to the bumper.

Any chance of providing a pic.
Thanks.

I thought it was installed. Sorry.

Re: WK2 front license plate

That does look like a good bracket with propper support. I think I'll get one.

Re: WK2 front license plate

Yeah that bracket does look like it has a good fit. Still wondering why mine came without a bracket, even though it was listed on the build sheet. Dealer just played dumb about it.
