Mine was listed on the build sheet but missing as well. Dealer ordered the bracket, no hassle at all. Simple install and great fit.

did you drill two additional holes at the bottom? Mine, like yours, only has the two top holes which IMO makes the bracket somewhat flimsy.

Re: WK2 front license plate

Yes, two additional holes in the bumper for the bottom screws. Very secure.

Only 2 screws in the plate itself. The clips in the bracket secure the bottom edge of the plate.

Re: WK2 front license plate

Dealer did mine. Looking at the screws/holes, looks like no insert was used. You should be able to gauge the hole size pretty easily for those std self-tapping screws.

As I recall, there were dimples in the bumper to locate the top screws. Nothing for the bottoms. I suspect these dimples are provided only to ensure proper location for the plate.

Same one I have on ours... except I live in MI where we don't need it

Unfortunately our vehicle had to be from a dealer in OH since they didn't have the options we wanted. Now I'm trying to figure out how to plug the holes, only solution so far is bumperplugs.com...but I need 6 since there are the four holes for the bracket plus the two from the license plate

Re: WK2 front license plate

I went to my local dealer to buy a front plate bracket. They said they could not find a listing for it. In an earlier post, pattyboy identified "front plate kit part # 68102165AA cost 14.68". I logged on to jeep.com and went to the Mopar Parts. I found the part listed under the Front Facia assembly....cost 16.80 plus 4.xx shipping. I ordered it early Monday morning. It showed up Tuesday afternoon on UPS and the package appeared to have been shipped from my local dealer (their return address). Go figure. I always put my Vietnam Vet plate on my vehicle and the front plate bracket looks SO much better than just screwing it to the facia. The black bracket on my white gold GC frames the plate off nicely. I tried to figure out how to give pattyboy an official Thanks but couldn't find where to click.

Re: WK2 front license plate

Im installing mine now.... what screws did you guys use to attach the plate to the plate bracket? The ones that came with mine are too long and would have to be drilled into the bumper (making 6 holes). Dont mind doing it, just wanted to make sure that was right???
