Re: WK2 Junk in the trunk: version 2.0 - interior storage compatments

I carry Jumper Cables (have used them a lot to help other folks as well as to start our Kubota when darling daughter leaves the lights on overnight), a collapsable shovel, various tools, a first aid kit and some rags. All of this is in the bins around the spare or in the "spare space" between the spare and the well. Nothing rattles since everything is wedged in pretty good and the rags also help with that.

Trash bags, duct tape, and toilet paper. Three of the most versatile supplies that I've always carried with me (camping/hiking/or in my car) since my Scouting days. TP might seem like a weird item to carry in a car, but when someone needs it, they REALLY need it.

Here's what I've got in mine:
  • Hitch bar with 2" ball
  • Recovery strap
  • Folding shovel (Gerber E-Tool...love that thing!)
  • Manual air pump (need to get one of those Viair ones)
  • Emergency kit with:
    • Flares
    • Triangle
    • Signal mirror
    • Whistle
    • Space blankets
    • Matches
    • Lighter
    • Emergency water pouches (taste bad but they're safe and last 5 years)
    • Emergency rations (like a crumbly cookie/hardtack. Surprisingly tastes kinda OK)
  • First aid kit
  • Leatherman tool
  • Leather work gloves
  • Gaffers tape (I like this better than duct tape)
  • Trash bags (33 and 13 gallon)
  • Small plastic bags, for walking the dogs or for diapers
  • Toilet paper (about 1/2 roll, tube removed, sealed in ziploc)
I feel like my biggest omission is a set of jumper cables. Need to pick some up.

I forgot to mention I have a tow/recovery strap, too.

Drivers seat only, and it's limited. Even without Quadra lift, there's still a couple computers in there, so your storage will be minimal at best. You might be able to fit a CCW in there, depending on the size-but that's the extent of the storage space available. Passenger side compartment houses the battery.

Re: WK2 Junk in the trunk: version 2.0 - interior storage compatments

Where the spare tire would go: microfiber towels, microfiber towels, and more microfiber towels.

Left: tire shine and a flathead screwdriver wrapped up in microfibers and sitting on a bed on microfibers so no rattle occurs

Right: spray bottle of last touch qd and ult glass cleaner by Meguiars.

I may get stranded but I will look good doing so

Nice. You sir are more obsessive compulsive than I. I thought I was bad cause I carry around a handful of MF's with QD and glass cleaner. I keep my spare tire though just in case.

I keep items already mentioned plus a tire repair kit. Small and useful.

Lets not forget the side recess. Great spot for a fire extinguisher and first aid kit.

Lift one of the corners. Pull hard.

LOL as Billy Crystal would say when he played Fernando Lamas

Its better to look good than to feel good. LOL

My SRT didnt come with a spare since I have the run flats. So I have to use the space for something! haha
