WK2 rear seat swap?

And I need your help! I've been trying to do this on my own through research, measuring and visual rendering - but it probably requires input from the "factory" guys on here, and this is a two fold question:

I would like to replace the rear bench seats in my 2014 WK2 with a set of Captains chairs(buckets) from a 2014/2015 Dodge Durango. The rear bench seats are visually the same, but the mounts(seat pan) are different to accommodate for access to the 3rd seating found in the Durango. Let me be specific and upfront that I am NOT trying to add 3rd row seating to the Jeep - I just want to add rear buckets. Can/could it be done with basic bolt-in procedures? The only problem I keep coming back to is how the buckets secure/latch to the floor; does the rear anchor in floor bolt in, or is welded to the floor pan during the initial assembly procedure? Am I missing info or am I insane with this idea? Perhaps Milous or Jim_in_PA could add some insight and/or suggestions. And no - it would not be easier to just trade in my WK2 for a Durango, simply because I can't have a EcoDiesel or the Jeep's better traction control in the Durango.

Second question is: I would like to replace the motorized power front/rear slide of the drivers seat with a manual slide like is found on the passenger seat, WITHOUT losing the power adjustability of up/down, power back rest or power lumbar. Can it be done? I haven't done any research on to this yet, so any input would be appreciated.

Lastly I'm asking that any advice/comments/suggestions be relevant and pertain to the topics/questions I'm posting. And be civil in your response's please. Thanks to all in advance. I know we as the membership have some very talented/knowledgeable members and moderators on this forum and I truly benefit here as a paid member. Thank you again.

Nothing to add other than to say it sounds like a cool project, good luck.

Re: WK2 rear seat swap?

OK - You want bucket seats in the rear for some reason...OK.

But the front driver's side seat to be manual slide instead of motorized has me scratching my head as to what difference does it make how it slides - motorized versus manual (perhaps manual is like 2-3 seconds faster for quick adjust but if you have driver's seat programmed in for remote 1 and remote 2 it will be adjusted by the time you open the door if you use the remote from a distance).

Re: WK2 rear seat swap?

Had some time to do more research - the seats are a bolt-in procedure, everything up to the C-pillar in the WD is the same as the WK2(from what I can tell in a visual sidexside comparison. Its directly after the C-pillar that things change. My question is are these D-rings on the floor of the WD bolted in, or are they welded as part of the body assembly procedure?
