Re: WK2 Rock Rails In!

I'm getting these rails on my Summit. I'm letting the dealer handle install. Can these rails easily support the weight of children who decide to use them as steps?

Re: WK2 Rock Rails In!

Of course. 12 bolts through the frame for each rock rail. Remember, these rails are designed to handle the entire weight of the jeep if you're scraping over rocks. You can have the entire family bounce up and down on them if you want!

When you kick the boots on these things, the snow comes off the boots. Nothing chincy about the rails. Now I just have to remember to step out a bit further when I exit the vehicle or I'll have a nice mud mark on my pants. (the rails stick out a bit more as you can see by the pics) Not a complaint at all, just an observation I wanted to share.
Jake, I have A trailrated badge in my garage you gotta put on that thing! Looks awsome!

Re: WK2 Rock Rails In!

Here they are waiting to go on! The only bad part is that it might be a late start on Saturday due to overtime with the job were doing. O.T. is Bittersweet!

Re: WK2 Rock Rails In!

Nice. I like that look. Wouldn't mind doing the entire vehicle matte gray and black.
