If you are just trying to retro some HID capsule in the halogen projectors it not that hard.

You will have to used a relay harness and some CAN BUS anti-flicker module along with the bulbs and the ballasts.

Why would you want to do this to a leased vehicle? Or are you planning on keeping it after the lease is up?

Because the halogen lights are so poor they are dangerous I'd imagine. I did the conversion and can finally see at night it's only 160 bucks to do both the headlights and fogs!

@grandjeep2015:

Take a look at this thread:

2015 JGC Xenon Xtreme HID kit install

Installation is basically Plug+play. The only modification that you need to do is drill a hole in the dust cover on the back of the headlight to run the wire that goes from the HID bulb to the ballast -- that's it.

Our 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee V-SPEC HID kit will include everything you need to upgrade the lights on your vehicle.

I have a lot of upgrades on my leased JGC. It makes the car more enjoyable while driving. However, I do try to return most things to stock before turning it in.

If that's what you like. My preference is to lease a model that has those features to begin with. Then I don't have to worry about stripping stuff off at lease end.

OT, but sometimes manufactures make it more difficult in certain countries to get the options you want without buying an extremely expensive option package -- that comes with a bunch of stuff you don't want.

Re: Would like to add hid headlights in 15 limited

I was thinking:

If the existing wiring inside the headlight can support feeding power from the ballast to the bulb then I could come up with a no cut solution for the the 2015 halogen healights that would allow you to put a HID bulb in the housing and use the existing connections to so that the bulb cap wouldn't need to be drilled.

Of to the lab to do some research.

Wouldn't you need to drill a hole either way though because the ballast is outside the headlight? Also, the OEM harness is not able to supply a stable 12V to the ballast, which is why you need a module (HID Kit PWM Module) to modulate the power going to the ballast.

Steve

I already have a set up that powers 2015 retros with no problems.

It would be 3 application specific adapters to allow you to run HID with out drilling a hole in the bulb cap.

We could call it the LEASE upgrade 100% removable

I also have the 4 pin male molex.

So I am thinking about a molex to 9006 adapter. (Lowbeam plug to hid ballast input)

Then an amp to molex (light housing)

Then a H11 to molex (wiring inside the headlight)
