I am glad I do not have it, just went out and looked to see if I missed, I know I would have been mad.

Also to make things a little more instersting, my wife's RAV4 had a similar problem with the passenger door handle. I took it in and thry tried to fix it, could not, order a new door panel and was replaced looks great now. So that kind of tells you about customer service and the importance some manufacturer's put on it.

Exactly. I just got a call from the dealer and they said that I am part of some a Chrysler customer satisfaction program and that they were not supposed to have let me have the truck back until all the warranty work was done. So they asked me to tell Chrysler that the truck was still at the dealer. With that said, they told me that the rest of the parts they needed(hood cowl space trim, new radio, and new liftgate handle) had arrived and if I wanted to drop it off monday afternoon so they could have it ready for me Tuesday. When i picked up the truck this past Wednesday, they said it would take another 2-3 weeks to get the parts. Guess they really want to make me happy now.

I also asked about the trim piece not looking right and he said he would see what he could do to get it fixed and right. So I am lucky to be in the customer satisfaction program because they will probably get it fixed one way or another to make me 100% happy. If dealer refuses, I will just call Jeep/chrysler, but hopefully it does not come to that.

That's definitely not right, Dark Shadow - mine has no gap in that area; nicely finished. Push them 'til they replace that piece. What bothers me on mine is the white lettering on the start/stop button itself that's already wearing off. I'm putting that on the list of things to be replaced right before my 3 year warranty is up.

So, you are part of a "Chrysler Satisfaction" program. Wonder how they determine which of their customers they want satisfied with their products??

Not sure how that is done. But I could tell they were a bit worried as to what I would tell chrysler when they called. They were very cooperative with me when they called yesterday and wanted to meet all my needs. So it seems like I'm going to get taken care really well. :-)

I just checked my 2014 Limited. The trim looks perfect and no problems with the rug fit.

Re: Would this bother you if it was your truck

I saw this post before joining and wanted to reply with support, especially when you got beat up for scratching the dash unjustly.

That gap is not OK, and I'd insist it fixed.

Go to the lot and see if you can find one that's as bad. If you can't, ask them to explain why that is?

Cheers,
Steve

Thanks Steve, I appreciate it. I was not sure where the dash being scratched/dirty came from. Guess I forgot to detail my truck before the picture. But anyways, as you said, if they insist on it being fine, I will have them show me one that looks like mine on their lot. But being that I'm part of the customer satisfaction program, I'm hoping they won't put up a fight and just make me happy.

Sorry if it sounded like I was beating you up on the scratched look comments. Sometimes words don't sound the same written as they do as if you where talking face to face. It was really meant as a friendly comment that I would light heatedly joke with a friend. I really do hope that change it for you. If anybody knows about crap fit and finish on a Summit it's me.

Thanks for the PM you know who <3

No worries man. I know how it goes sometimes. The wording probably had something to do with it, but past history. And I have my fingers crossed it will get fixed when I take it Monday.

Those kind of fit and finish items are only under warranty for 12 months from date of purchase.
