It would definately bother me! 45K plus for a vehicle to have it look like it was made in some foreign asian country to be sold for less is unexcusable. I would also reach out to Chrysler CS and see where that would lead.
I am glad I do not have it, just went out and looked to see if I missed, I know I would have been mad.
Also to make things a little more instersting, my wife's RAV4 had a similar problem with the passenger door handle. I took it in and thry tried to fix it, could not, order a new door panel and was replaced looks great now. So that kind of tells you about customer service and the importance some manufacturer's put on it.
