Re: Yakima Whispbar S25 Flush 2014 Grand Cherokee

I am also considering the Yakima whispbars, can you give us an idea of any wind noise, etc without your kayak holder. Did you consider Thule aero?

Have any of you guys put a kayak on these yet? I'm trying to find a good kayak loader that will keep the Jeep from getting scratched

Hardly any wind noise. Saw the areoblade edge on a 2014 and it was real ugly. They were too bulky and seemed to stick up much higher than the whispbars.

I've got thule hullaport pro on the whispbars for my santee 116. Love the combo.

I have to agree with you, I actually purchased the Aeroblade Edge and installed it on my 2014 and removed and returned it to the store. It just didn't look right. Like you said, it seemed bulky . Also didn't care for the foot pads, appears like the covers over the guts of the pad didn't snap together snuggly allowing possible wind noise. Would probably have to seal with sealant to smooth air flow and keep it together. Will try the Whispbar. Thanks

Once again, love the whispbars. Very quiet. The one strange thing are the inner portion of the foot seats are open. I've added a pic below. It doesn't contribute to any wind.
