15k Tune up?

Hey everyone I have to go in for my 15k tune up at the dealer and I have a coupon that was given to me from the dealer for the oil changes and tunes ups etc.... Does anyone know what do they do in the 15k tune up and how much does it usually run for?

Re: 15k Tune up?

Check the owners manual.

I don't think a lot is required, and certainly not whatever is on the long list the dealer wants to do and charge you for.

My rule of thumb, who knows better about the maintenance requirements for your vehicle? The manufacturer, or the dealer who wants to make money on service?

Here's what our '14 manual says
- Oil change intervals not to exceed 10k miles or 12 months (regardless of the oil change indicator)
- At every oil change change oil/filter, rotate tires, inspect and clean battery terminals (shouldn't be an issue because the battery is under the passenger seat not under the hood), inspect brakes/pads, inspect cooling system, inspect exhaust, inspect air cleaner

The next interval with required/recommended items is at 2 years or 20k miles.

What does the coupon cover and what services are they telling you should be done?
