Re: 2011 Dodge Durango Test site

Durango SUX.. Way to big, we don't need it! Chrysler should develop a high performance SRT8 Caliber to compete with the Japanese/Korean/GM crowd. IMO

But, I would be surprised if they built one, it's a larger and heavier vehicle than the WK and I'm so so sure how it would handle under the power of a 6.4L. If any evidence of a Durango SRT should ever appear on any engineering documents you guys would probably be the first to know. Meanwhile, the SRT team is very busy and will be for awhile. They launch the 6.4 Challenger in just a few months, and they are busy working on 2012 models of the 300, Charger, Grand Cherokee as well as a couple of other 2012/2013 vehicle slated to get the 6.4.

While Dodge is focused on "performance", the definition of "performance" does not apply only to SRT models and the word can have many meanings. It might be important to note that there will be an R/T version of the 2011 Durango, with the 5.7L Hemi. That model would easily fit into Dodge's desciption of the Durango as a "performance SUV".
yup fully agree with ya milous. might happen in the future. lets see you are human ct??? hehehe

The wheelbase is 5" longer to accommodate the 3rd row seating, not sure about the overall length differences but I bet it is at least 5".
