It's just that with the 20" wheels, the tire wall is not as high as it is on the 18" wheels.
Generally speaking (aside from visual differences) this makes having the 20" wheels a better handling set-up, where the 18" wheels would be more comfortable. (Better at absorbing bumps.)
Of course...I'm such a dunce...I never noticed the sidewall height difference equating to the same step in height for both wheel/tire options.
That said, for my wife, I think comfort trades the handling advantage of the larger wheels/tires, not to mention eventual replacement costs.
If it were my full time vehicle I'd be all in on the handling advantages...
