Re: 2014 Billet Citadel Durango walk around.

It was a nice change to see a solid wheel vs the usual chrome clad

Storage bin under the cargo area floor. It's between the 3rd row and tailgate.

Mijo did you get a look at the new 18in wheel or the 20 black chrome wheel?

Granite Crystal Metallic. May not have the Jeep, but I'll still drop in and keep up with the news.

Re: 2014 Billet Citadel Durango walk around.

I hope the 18" wheels on the Limited look good because these 20" wheels look really sharp. Not sure I could have justified the extra $1000 for them though.

Agreed...on both points. Plus my 5'1" wife already had issues with the step in height on the 18" wheels. Wonder if I should have added the assist step option to my build...

Agreed. Even though it's not a true 'chrome look', would much rather have a highly polished solid wheel than the plastic chrome clad.

I'm looking forward to seeing both the R/T standard (hyperblack) and R/T optional wheels. (fully polished with gloss black pockets.)

Step-in height would be no different on the 18" vs. 20" wheels. The total diameter of the "Wheel plus tire" would be 30.5" in either case given the OEM tire sizes.

It's just that with the 20" wheels, the tire wall is not as high as it is on the 18" wheels.

Generally speaking (aside from visual differences) this makes having the 20" wheels a better handling set-up, where the 18" wheels would be more comfortable. (Better at absorbing bumps.)

Isn't there storage under the driver seat too? Can anyone post a pic of that?

Of course...I'm such a dunce...I never noticed the sidewall height difference equating to the same step in height for both wheel/tire options.

That said, for my wife, I think comfort trades the handling advantage of the larger wheels/tires, not to mention eventual replacement costs.

If it were my full time vehicle I'd be all in on the handling advantages...

Re: 2014 Billet Citadel Durango walk around.

I'll go drive one for a few days to see how it compares to the GC.
