Re: **2014 Dodge Durango REVEAL** Pictures and specs! INCREDIBLE!!!

I was able to just catch a glimpse of the Citadel at the NYIAS press unveiling that was streamed from Dodge's site.

Still chrome mesh insert for the grill, chrome mirrors, and polished wheels. They continued to make a pretty big deal about the 7 options for wheels, so I'm hoping / assuming that there will be at least a few factory wheel options for the Citadel.

Waiting for the Citadel glamor shots.

Re: **2014 Dodge Durango REVEAL** Pictures and specs! INCREDIBLE!!!

One shot for Dodge's site (attached) shows the Citadel from the side, with what I assume are the standard 20" wheels.

2014 Dodge Durango | Refined SUV with Available Hemi Engine | Dodge

They also show a few of the wheel options. (20" polished aluminum appears to be the standard Citadel wheel).

No shots of the front or rear of the Citadel that I can find...

+1 No Citadel love in the NYIAS video or in any pics on the web...all about the "sinister" R/T. If you're going to have it on stage, why not give it at least a few seconds of airtime!! I don't get it...

Does anyone know if this video has been archived somewhere for viewing? Thought for sure I would see something on YT by now, but no such luck.

I must say, the rango looked even better live (albeit via streamed video). I can only imagine how much better it will look in my garage.

Re: **2014 Dodge Durango REVEAL** Pictures and specs! INCREDIBLE!!!

Chrysler needs to fire the guy who designed the wheels for the '14 vehicles. They all look totally out of place, unlike the ones for the '11s that fit perfectly. The Overland wheels for the '14s are literally the best out of the whole group, and they're not that good.

Re: **2014 Dodge Durango REVEAL** Pictures and specs! INCREDIBLE!!!

Today's reveal video is posted on the Dodge media site. However, it's a different recording than what was broadcast live, with just a bit longer look at the Citadel.

OK, I'm gonna say it

The LED lights look TERRIBLE AND CHEAP. Seriously, it looks like someone went on ebay and bought an LED light strip and stuck it inside the housings. Absolutely terrible, thoughtless, and flat out tasteless. I can understand it if you're just a guy modding your car, but when you're the MANUFACTURER and you do this, it's just pathetic. The previous generation lights looked better!

Fauee, I hate to say it, bit I agree about the lights. Saw a 2013 in a parking lot tonight, and I personally think the lights look better and higher quality. In a quandary because I have waited for all the other improvements coming in the 2014. Think the rear lights look like illuminated sunglasses. Hope I get over it!

Also, no Bi-Xenon HID headlights anymore on the Citadel or R/T. Only projector beams which are much cheaper and no where near as bright. At least the new MY 14 GC still has HIDs on the top models. I think Chryco/Fiat is hoping that we won't notice so that they can make a few
more bucks on every Citadel and R/T that they sell. HID BI-Xenons are quite a bit more expensive than projectors.

Incorrect. According to the feature availability sheet in the press kit, BX HID is standard on Citadel and R/T...optional on Limited.

Quandary? Over tail lights? You guys can bag on the wheels and the lights all you want. Not deciding factors for me. The 8 sp tranny is worth the wait alone.
