Actually, we can, but not on our CURRENT work schedule...

We are NOT 100% maxed out right now...

Run us like Windsor. 3 shifts per day instead of 2. Problem solved.

If Chrysler *wanted* to pull this off, they COULD. It was done previously back in the ZJ/WJ days so yes it IS very much possible... and back in those days, 3 shifts would do what 2 do now!

Re: 2014 Durango - Features and Changes

Dodge.com reveals at 11:40 AM on 3/28. So are you guys going to reveal midnight Wednesday night?

And I've reread but haven't found it. Anybody know if the 20mm drop on the RT is in addition to the current model year RT 20 mm drop?

Is that 3 crews running two shifts? So would they just add another crew for a third shift? How many jobs would that open up? How many vehicles can you guys crank out in a day/shift? Sorry for the 20 questions...very interesting to me. Seems like you, Milous, and Scott are very much in the know, so are all of you JNAP guys or what? Appreciate all that you guys do with and for our beloved vehicles, in whatever capacity.

Yes, 3 crews running two shifts.

If we ran 3 straight shifts, then we could do some serious cranking out of some vehicles. In that case, the plant would run 23 hours a day (20 minute lunch break for each shift). The line would never stop, new shift comes in and one shift just takes over while the other goes home. This is how Windsor Assembly (minivan plant) runs.

Since we have 3 "groups" of people, it wouldn't open up any jobs as we have enough manpower for a 3 shift operation.

I'll answer every question I think I can answer without getting fired. It's just a few keystrokes.

A 2012 and your engine just died? Still under warranty, right?

Re: 2014 Durango - Features and Changes

Am I the only guy hoping that a factory rack is offered as an option on the 14 R/T?

Any chance?
