Still no word on pricing .
Hmmm...I'll check with my dealer tomorrow to find the status of my Citadel AWD. I assume its on some sort of "Hold" until 8/9? Or if my order is in does that mean no further delay...must new orders?

Does this usually mean that they may be tweaking options packages or something?

Your Citadel advanced to Pre-Release status earlier today . (http://www.jeepgarage.org/f102/custo...ngo-62778.html)

Order banks open once each month. They start to close as selected models and trim lines are filled to what the plant can produce for the month following. This has no effect on orders that are already scheduled in the system.

Crap. So I've waited too long and now I can't order until 8/9 and, therefore, will likely not receive until about a month later also? Assume that, even without pricing, should still be able to work a deal and then just pull the trigger on 8/9? Oh, I'm bummed

Sweet. Does this mean I can no longer put any changes in, or is that at D1 status?

Any updates on when production starts?

Not necessarily Laurel.

What you can do is ask the dealership to check and see what other orders are in the system and where they are off to. If one matches what you want, your dealer can contact the destination dealer and attempt to "swap" for that vehicle.

There is no additional charge for this. If the dealer does try to get you for a fee... walk away. Any dealer can swap a vehicle with another dealer for no charge (if they tell you different, walk away, find another dealer, and have them try and get the vehicle for you).

Once again, thx Temerarius. We are pretty specific about what we want, but it is worth a shot!

Sounds like I have company in my misery in trying to work with dealers. It's crazy... and frustrating.

I'm not sure if I'd do the Limited or the Citadel yet so I'm not sure if I'm upset at the Citadel hold or not. I'm not a big chrome fan so I'd prefer the Limited but depending on pricing and option packages, the Citadel may be my better choice. I'll have to wait and see.

At least Temerarious has a great idea for you. I would hope a dealer would be willing to do that for you.

We have waited so long that my husband and I at pretty specific about what we want....but for the right deal, all bets are off. I do feel like I'm swimming upstream with the dealers I've contacted, and nobody seems anxious to strike a deal, or even begin to craft one. I need to review the Limited...was that the Crew before or have they changed the standard features? Looking forward to the day when we both get what we want!

Re: 2014 Durango - Features and Changes

I'm not sure if you are having issues with ordering due to the fact that it's the Durango (low volume) or just the dealers.

I'd advise heading to the WK2 forum and looking in there for "Group Deals" or "Group Purchases". Folks there (including me) have worked out deals with dealers in our area for pricing on the Jeep Grand Cherokee.

I'm not certain if you can work out similar deals with those dealers on a Durango, but, if one of them is in your area, they would probably be your best bet.

I'm not sure if the issue is the Durango or the dealers, but seems like interest in a low volume vehicle would be a positive thing. Don't the JGC's practically sell themselves? They seem reluctant to deal in percentages without 2014 pricing info. Only one of three dealers I've contacted is likely a very high volume seller. As moving from the midwest to Dallas eventually, I think I'll shift my focus to dealers down there and see what kind of response I get. Love the idea of a group deal or purchase, but not sure I want to wait as long as it might take to put together. Anybody out there had a positive experience with a Dodge dealer in the DFW area?
