Anybody know if 2014 Durango production officially began today, as predicted? Sure hope so!

Re: 2014 Durango - Features and Changes

I'd love to hear the 2014's are on the line now. From what I think I read on here somewhere is that it really takes a matter of hours to get through the actual assembly process. I'm guessing maybe a little longer for the first batch? Amazing, JNAP, if that is accurate.

I was just thinking... I didn't see any kind of options for basic stuff like floor mats and mud guards. Do we miss out on these? Are these dealer installed options?

I guess I need to start supporting this wonderful site. I'm thinking Level 3... I can't imagine caring about what's on a build sheet and I haven't been able to find an example to make that determination. Maybe I'll just do the level 3 - 4 upgrade if necessary. I need to get my info to Milous!

Oh and dodgermspt... congrats???

I hope so too....mine is still sitting in "Production Scheduled" status. Can't wait to see changes happening on VOTS. It'll also be nice to finally get pricing.....

Pricing is available at the very beginning of this thread.

If you become a Level III or higher supporter JeepGarage can track your vehicle right to the pavement in your dealers parking lot.

Plus you go Level IV or higher and you will get a complete Build sheet on completion of your vehicle.

Re: 2014 Durango - Features and Changes

...and we're back on the fence...

My wife sees the positives in the Durango, I think she likes the Acadia a bit more (7th seat, sun roof, felt instantly comfy). We drove and looked at both tonight. I have a harder time finding positives in the Acadia, but I think that's partly because I've been Durango focused since we first drove it. The first look at the Acadia two weeks ago was more to see what the options were after we first drove the Durango and moved off getting another van.

I think part of it for her is...the Acadia feels closer to the van in how it feels. The Durango more like the truck and she's just not used to the difference in feel.

Working with our local Dodge dealers has been a souring experience for sure. We've hit a dead end there I believe. They're at straight affiliate price.

The group buy pricing helps as its aggressive. The Acadia is competitive on price because its a 2013 and we get both the current incentive plus another chunk from my affiliate status.

The saga continues....

I am not a fan of the Acadia, Traverse, Enclave Platform. They really didn't design a good strong platform so they get really loose after a few years. The drive trains have also had poor reliability overall. Go find a 2010 with a few miles and drive it then do the same with a Durango and you will see my issue with them.... That and the fuel mileage is terrible in the Acadia compared to a 2014 Jeep grand cherokee with the pentastar ( I expect similar ratings in the Durango).

Feel free to ask if you wish me to elaborate.

Re: 2014 Durango - Features and Changes

Yeah baby, that's what I like to see. Yesterday seemed a little anti-climatic. I wanted fanfare with trumpets and cherubs and cnn coverage. Go JNAP boys and when you see a sandstone one give it a little TLC.
