Re: 2014 Durango - Features and Changes

SSG (AWC) requires RC3 (The "R" in the box below means "Requires").

Thanks for the clarification/info. I have to admit I'm disappointed, as this changes what we might do. I know it seems silly to give up over a subwoofer, but that storage was important.

Any idea if that subwoofer can be removed and the cargo tray replaced with the standard bin? Assuming the location is the same on the '13s and '14s.

I don't see any reason why it couldn't be changed out, although it could be awhile until the parts show up and become available since it is a new model launch.

Re: 2014 Durango - Features and Changes

By the way, it's not unusual to see options/requirements change, this is not uncommon at all. Could be any number of reasons, for example if they found that the take rate for those two options is very high, they may "combine" them to simplify building/ordering.

Again, why I do not question the Jedi Master!

In checking it does appear that the information I had was not current today, my applogies.

I have included a picture for perspective though. It is still a lot of space. It takes up about a third... It is possible the new unit could be slightly different.

Wish the Harmon Becker system was an option.

Agreed that its not unusual. Just not ideal for our situation.

If we order I'll have to get on the ball about a swap....or forgo the SSC.

Better to know now then later.

As always, thanks for the info.

No apologies needed. With any new vehicle everything is subject to change...

Thanks for the picture, but the loss of storage is going to be a deal breaker with the stuff my wife keeps in her car. The full size of the bin was a draw, and the subwoofer was part of the reason we dump consider a 2013 Citadel.

That would be a nice addition! One of the things I truly love about the Summit (and SRT) Maybe a future Grand Waggy option

Well as I pointed out Milous well of info is much deeper and broader than mine.

So what would you do with the Acadia? The bin is no where near that size.

Starting to sound plausible..

If true can the subwoofer be removed? Wife needs that full storage compartment.
Haha if you dont want it I will swap out the sound system with you as I want the subwoofer and amp at least. I am most likely going to end up with the rallye and I do not think it is an available option. I was thinking about finding a total loss one and taking it out of there.

Dave, now that sounds like a deal. You can just swap the interior parts with someone who wants the sub!
